"Hey guys!" Marshall said, his mouth full of...something. He chewed and swallowed before talking again. "Today we're going to be talking about bar food."

He pointed at the long table in the front where there was various kinds of finger foods. "Bar food is used to soak up the alcohol in your system so you don't get so drunk that you're unable to hit on somebody. Or, if you're happily married, it's there to munch on while you watch your single friends hit on people. Either way, it's good. If you hit up a bar during happy hour then you can find this stuff for real cheap. You know when it's even cheaper? Right before closing because the bar is trying to get rid of the food."

Marshall knew a lot about bars.

"Okay, so bar food is mostly stuff you eat with your hands. Nachos, french fries, pretzels, beer nuts, onion rings, mozzarella sticks. If you're real lucky there will be some sliders on the menu," Marshall said, pointing to the burgers on the table. "And, last but certainly not least, buffalo wings. For those of you who aren't familiar with them, they aren't made of buffalo. They're chicken. And they come in different levels of heat. I prefer the more mild stuff but if I'm feeling particularly daring and there's enough blue cheese dressing around then I can crank it up to hot."

"So you've got a little bit of everything up here to dig into. There's the usual array of drinks in the back of the room," Marshall said. "There's also non-alcoholic beer and margaritas back there too. I tend to stay away from those but you guys go right ahead."

Priestly had to grin at the sounds. "Aw yeah, love that food. . . ."

Francine paused mid-bite, then thought better of answering with her mouth full, so she finished off her cheddar-dipped mozzarella-stick -- silently -- before answering sheepishly, "I like cheese."

Priestly grinned, gently teasing. "So I noticed. Nothing wrong with that."

That didn't help the blushing. "I guess not, or we wouldn't be having a class in it. Well, in liking food. Not just cheese. A Cheese Appreciation class would just be weird."

"And yet, I'd totally sign up for it."

Francine stared at him for a moment -- which was a good opportunity to take in the hair and the piercings without starting at the hair and the piercings -- before bursting into laughter and admitting, "So would I." Then, "...You look like Dean."

Sometimes, she's slow, yes.

Priestly was getting used to that. "Nah, he looks like me. I'm the more advanced version with all the updates."

Francine paused to digest that. And the mozzarella stick. "Dean 2.0?"

"Priestly, actually. We're not really anything alike except for the face." And the voice, but Priestly didn't really realize that. He wasn't used to hearing his own voice coming from another source.

"Priestly," Francine repeated slowly. He didn't look very priestly, but then again, neither did Dean. Just in a different way. "I'm Francine. I don't think there's a Francine 2.0 here. Just me."

"You're lucky. It's pretty weird walking around knowing there's a guy out there with your face."

"Nobody's gonna be complaining about two of that face, though!" Francine offered, then stopped herself from palming hers. Smoooooth, Peters. At least you didn't say hi, I'm Francine, you're cute. This time.

Priestly looked to the side, a faint pink starting to show at the edges of his sideburns.

Oh yeah, he grew those for a reason.

"Thanks."

When in doubt -- or need of something to say that's not even more awkward than the last thing you said -- food. "Cheese-stick?" she offered.
