Care for Magical Creatures; Friday, Period 2 [ 01/09 ].
When the students arrived for their class today, they'd find themselves in just a regular old classroom. But not for long.
"Good morning, younglings!" Minsc, the very large fellow with the scars and the armour and the tattoos and...the hamster...greeted the students boisterously, pounding a fist down on the large desk in front of the blackboard. "Welcome to Care for Magical Creatures! I am your teacher, Minsc, and this is my companion, Boo! In a moment, we shall get started, but at the moment, there is something very important we must do first! These desks! They are evil! They are restrictive! Up! Up out of the desk and quickly, children, we must destroy them entirely and make some proper space in this room!"
"Up, up!" Minsc waved his arms to encourage his students to his feet and, with a great, guttural sort of battlecry, he lifted his foot and kicked it straight into one of the desks. It went flying from the impressive blow, toward the front of the room, smashing into a thousand pieces against the blackboard and settling in a small pile of broken legs and pieces.
"Well? What are you waiting for? Vanquish these desks!"

"You've been in a pack together for a while, Lady Blysse?"

"There is being those, many seasons ago, who use sorcery. They looked at the cousins of my people, the Wise Beasts, and they was thinking, these shapes is strong, and fast, and they is wanting them for their own. So... they use their sorcery to steal shapes of yarimaimalom, Wise Beasts. Only, yarimaimalom is not liking this much. Is not a good thing, having your body stolen by one who want to use it for wicked things. So, they was fighting back. And they winned, but not completely. Still the memory of what they lost burns," she said darkly, concluding what was for her an uncharacteristically long speech.

"Such old scars," he said, "never really heal. But anything that can be used for wicked, can also be used for goodness. And vice versa, though I much prefer the goodness."

"Lady Blysse," he said after a moment, "this might sound crazy," coming from the guy who told them not just ten minutes ago to destroy school property, "but how would you feel about being a teacher's assistant for this class? I feel your very different perspectives could lend you as a very valuable helper."
Re: Introductions -- 01/09.
You should ask him if the position would require writing, Blind Seer commented. She scowled at him, but admitted he had a point.
"Would I be needing to know how to write to be this teacher's assistant?" she asked. "Because I am not knowing how. Yet."
