fandomhigh | Phys Ed: Week 14, Period 2 (Fri. 12/19)

When students stepped into the Danger Shop for their final, they would find themselves in a blank room with a large table of safety gear and doors to their usual locker rooms. Ronon stood next to the gear, clad in his usual leather attire in addition to the safety harness and carabiners. It wouldn't do to distract the students too much.

"For the final class, we're repelling off a building. It's been real. Now, get a uniform, safety equipment, and follow me."

As soon as the students were prepared, the scene changed and they were standing on the windy roof of a skyscraper. Speaking loudly, so all could hear, Ronon provided a demonstration of the activity. "All you gotta do is hook your harness to the rope, stand at the edge, and lean back. Walk or hop your way down the side and you're done." Ronon lowered himself down a few feet before climbing the rope back to the top. "Questions? Nope? Good." He hadn't waited, no, but students could always bug him anyway.

Hannibal King

Hannibal grabbed a uniform, putting it on almost gleefully. Hey, it was the last time for awhile, he thought he could be happy.

Hannibal was there and a little sad about not having to report for TA duty next week.

Hannibal had done a lot of tree climbing and a lot of fence climbing so he figured this would be a breeze. He got into harness, hooked his rope up and started walking backwards down the side of the building.

Knowing it was the Danger Shop made it a little less exhilarating but it was still fun. He wanted to do this for real.

"Do I need to use the equipment?" Ino asked plaintively. "I can walk down a building no problem."

Ronon tilted his head at her. "However you wanna do it," he replied, ready to see this.

"Excellent!" She beamed sunnily at him, and walked towards the edge of the wall. There was a tiny pause as she got there, considered the amount of wind, and knelt down while she mentally focusing her chakra to her hands and feet.

And went over the edge of the wall with practiced ease, feet and hands easily keeping her attached to the wall as she started downwards.

Francine stared at the building with undisguised horror. "Couldn't we climb down something a little, um. Smaller? Like, say, a nice split-level ranch?"

Lois Lane

Lion-o

Lion-o silently put on his uniform and wondered if he could burn it once the class was over for the semester.

No, that might be a bad idea. It might come back as something worse.

Helen was rather nervous, but did her best not to show it.

Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo was grateful that he didn't have a problem with heights and he was actually excited about this. He didn't walk down the building, but hopped down the side, enjoying the rush.

Rodney McKay

Rodney was really hoping this would be the last time he would ever have to do this. Especially with all the safety equipment. He triple-checked everything before he was willing to even approach the edge.

Rodney was chanting "safeties are on, safeties are on, I'm not gonna die," as he got ready to go over the side of the building. Even so, after looking over the edge, he backed away from it. "Oh, hell no!"

Summer had plans to never ever wear a gym uniform again in her lifetime.

Robin fairly squeed with excitement.

"Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!!!"

When he got to the bottom he asked "Can I go again?"

Summer stared up at the very tall building. "Seriously?"

Turtle closed her eyes and repeated a mantra involving how she wasn't afraid of heights, she wasn't afraid of heights, really, Turtle, you're not afraid of heights, to help her get through this.

And she did. With eyes tightly closed, and the occasional little squeak of a sound.

For all the time and effort Dick tended to put into not doing anything to give any clues that he might be better trained at random crap than people, this was one time he was willing to just be himself. It was pretty reasonable that he'd be comfortable with ropes and heights, of course.

But really, this was something Dick could do with ease. Blindfolded. Without a harness. So he made short work of the challenge as it had been set up with a smile on his face.
