Survival Skills [Wednesday, Period Four]

Today the danger shop was set up to look like a seedy, run-down bar. The kind with plenty of easily broken furniture and windows just begging to have something thrown through them. Bond was relaxing behind the bar was he waited for the students.

"The real test of this sort of class if life itself," he said, once the entire class was there. "But since I do actually need something to grade you on, today's assignment is just to have a nice quiet drink, along with the rest of your classmates. Simple."

Of course, juding by the looks of some of the other patrons of the bar, he meant it in the "not at all" sense of the word...

Get a drink, ponder the fact it can't be that easy.

Gwynn was sitting quietly with her drink.

Amber enjoyed a drink while looking around. This class final seemed pretty easy. Almost too easy for a class of Mr. Bond's.

Gavin found a seat and grabbed a drink. He wasn't that relaxed but he was relaxed enough to enjoy his drink.

Dean got himself a beer and put his back against the bar as he drank it. The better to keep an eye on the room.

Hurley was worried.

This didn't seem the teacher's usual style.

Liir got water. Best not to ruin his grade.

Turtle was just going to sit and enjoy her root beer while she could, before something exploded.

Hinata didn't drink anything, rather contenting herself with watching the area dubiously.

Too easy meant something was up.

Triela frowned. She wondered if her inability to consume alcohol was going to make her fail.

Somehow, as she looked around, it seemed doubtful.

It wasn't clear who started the fight, being that one side was known for its stealth, and the other was usually to drunk to throw the first punch.

Regardless, barely had the final started when the entire bar was engulfed in a massive ~~moddable~~ pirate-against-ninja barfight.

It looked like the class would have to break some heads to have their drinks.

Ducking under a table, Amber hoped that no one would actually pick it up to use as a weapon. Seriously though, ninja's were awesome. Pirates? Well the pirates in here were just down right ugly. And smelly. She was going to steer clear as much as possible.

Gavin wasn't about to go running but he was going to go ducking when a kriffing pirate's boot came flying at his head. And then he was ducking again when the shoe's twin followed right behind it.

He wanted to ask who threw shoes these days but couldn't get it out before a ninja was stutter stepping towards him. Gavin hit him with a chair and disappeared into the massive crowd.

Sometime later, he'd get hit with a pirate's shoe and that stench would stick with him for days.

Hurley ~~having no Dharma initiative minibus handy~~, found that today, discretion was the better part of valor.

Until a ninja decided he looked like a pirate and came after him. To which Hurley let out a "OH DUDE!" and tried to hide behind the bar.

Liir. Broom. Rafters.

"If anyone else would like a ride up!"

He thought of perhaps going to go get Amber, but he didn't want to endanger her grade.

Helen quietly moved to a dark corner and continued sipping on her drink.

Turtle?

Oh, you can rest assured that Turtle was kicking anyone who came near her right square in the shins.

Duh.

Hinata didn't see any point in fighting in a barfight, and it was the matter of seconds worth of concentration before she darted up a wall and settled herself on the rafters to watch.

He's there for you to talk to between brawls.

He's here too.

Somewhere.

Probably.

Gavin was there, trying to stay out of the way of anything projectile.

It could be worse, there could be zombies and robots too.
