Home Economics, Tuesday [Class 13]
"Good day, class," Lulu began. "I apologise for missing last week's class. That said, let us continue on, shall we?
"Today, we're doing something a little bit different. You have your final coming up quickly, and before then we have one more assignment to complete. Therefore, today, you're going to be working together on one of the most important aspects of making clothing: proper measurements."
She started up the television. "There are a couple of short videos for this," she said, "and accompanyinghandwavy handouts. The first is for how to measure for men's clothing, and the second on how to measure for women's clothing." She started up the videos, and as they were playing she passed around the handouts.
When they finished, Lulu smiled. "Now, what I'd like you all to do is to pair up and practice measuring each other. You'll find the appropriate measuring tapes at each station. These will not be your pairs for the final; those will be assigned by me." And that, of course, was a hint drop: the final involved working in pairs. "Now, get to it; you'll need full sets of measurements for both partners by the end of the class -- and, too, double- and triple-check the measurements. This is your first time doing this, so you need to make sure you're making them accurately. If you have time once finished, feel free to take some scrap fabric and experiment with different stitch-types on the sewing machines."

Francine made a long, low noise that wasn't very loud, but people with sensitive hearing would not be wrong in telling her she now owed Professor Skywalker money.

Sam wasn't really embracing the spirit of Home Ec.
