When they students enter the Danger Shop, the find themselves on the edges of a swamp at night. John, as usual, was leaning against the parked Impala waiting for them.

"Sorry about the missed class last week. There was a power outage in the Danger Shop here that made it impossible to carry out today's assignment. This is Laveau Swamp," he said. "It has a little infestation problem right now. Of zombies." As if on cue a low disturbing moan drifted out of the night. "As you can hear," John continued with a small smile. "The bokar who raised them is in a shack near the center of the swamp. Your assignment is to make it to that shack and stop him. There will be some kind of talisman that he'll be using to control them. Destroy it and then get the hell out."

John pushed away from the side of the car and walked around to the trunk. "This particular type of zombie shrugs off most attacks except fire. Now generally, you're not going to be able to get a hold of a real flame thrower quickly or easily, so that's when you've got to improvise." He pulled out an aerosol can and a lighter and demonstrated just how to improvise. (~~Winchester flame thrower, patent pending~~)

"That's going to be your main weapon today. Just be careful where you aim when you use it -- you don't want to set anything on fire that you don't mean to, such as each other. Try to avoid that."

Zombies seemed positively benign compared to some of the things they dealt with in class. Romeo loaded his gun, took extra rock salt, and waited for a partner.

"Need a partner?" Hannibal asked, still trying to get the crankiness from yesterday gone.

[Notifications dead AGAIN for me so slow *kicks LJ*]

"I would not turn one down, if we're to face zombies," Romeo answered gratefully. "I don't suppose these are the kind who play karaoke."

[OOC: Same here. Gah.]

"Probably not but damn, that would catch us all off guard if they did," Hannibal said and laughed. "Everyone's expecting to go in and shoot something and all these zombies do is sing."

"If they did, Professor Winchester might not mind if we waited until the encore to slay them," Romeo laughed.

"As long as they stayed away from chick songs," he said. "No need to hear a bunch of zombies screeching Celine Dion."

"I think I could almost handle that as long as they were not in costume," Romeo decided. "Celine Dion scares me to start with."

He looked toward the swamp. "I am ready to go if you are."

Helen looked around for a partner.

Huh. Zombies. Jack collected the supplies and waited for a partner.

Annja was examining the homemade flamethrower as she waited for a partner.

This would definitely come in handy.

Zombies? Gross. But all they had to do was get through them to the bad guy holding the amulet and destroy the amulet? That sounded awfully easy.

She frowned a moment over the trunk of weapons. Aerosal can and lighter, yes. But she needed something for the end game. She grabbed a few items, then turned to look for a partner.

Hannibal stepped into the swamp, aerosol can at his side and lighter in his pocket. It was kind of gross in here.

It was gross, and Romeo fought an urge to jerk his t-shirt up over his nose and mouth. "It's getting louder," he observed.

"Doesn't sound like singing either," he said a bit sadly while putting one hand over his nose. "Geez, it reeks."

"I know." Romeo gave into temptation and jerked his t-shirt up over the collar of his sweater. He looked like an idiot, but he could breathe again. "How are you with a flamethrower?"

"Never used one before," he admitted. "I've used guns but never one that actually shoots flames. You?"

"The same," Romeo said. "I'm good with a gun, but the fire is new. I hope the hair spray will be enough fuel."

"I don't even use hair spray in my hair." Well, not a lot anyway. "I guess if there's not an army of zombies, we should be good."

From out of the murk shadows started moving towards them.

Deal with the bokar, find the talisman

He's hanging out by the Impala.
