Care for Magical Creatures; Period One. [ 11/17 ]

The danger room classroom that Minsc had set up at times was devoid of desks today. Instead, there were comfortable couches and offerings of popcorn.

"Good morning, class! If you've been paying attention to things on your syllabus, it would tell you that today we might be talking about the legendary creatures! The most legendary of creatures, of course, is the dragon! There are many different kinds of dragons. Big ones, small ones, blue ones, green ones; I've even heard tell of a polka-dotted one! However, other than the wee little babies some of you unhatched last week, they are usually far too dangerous, even in a simulation, to experiment with at first.

"We might handle some next week. But you must be knowledgeable first! Today, we will watch a very informative film about dragons, since you are all probably sick of me talking on and on and on! Please pay very close attention! And then, over the week, I expect every one of you to go and research dragons and present to me a report of at least two pages, on what you find out about taking care of dragons. Then we will see if you can handle them or if you will all turn out to be a big scorched mess!"

"Oh! And I almost forgot! Thanks to Lady Ella and her fortuitous job at the Diner of Luke, I have been informed that those of you in Sir Anakin's Ethics class have been charged with taking care of a small warrior creature called a Wokling! I am willing to give extra credit to those of you taking care of these noble creatures if you are interested in receiving it! Just come talk to me after class!"

Dor sat and tried to take notes. When he could actually spell the words.

Savannah was amused and thought the movie was cute.

She was thinking about the baby unicorns that had hatched last week though...

Ella listened to the lecture closely (she was happy to hear her suggestion for extra credit had been taken) then settled in to watch the movies. Dragons were terrifying, but fascinating.

Sam wasn't as focused on his notes today, and just let himself enjoy the movie.

Robin wondered what a Wokling was.

Chris kind of zoned out while he watched the documentary.

Molly took a copious amount of notes, fascinated by the lecture and its implications on her parents' relationship. She may have missed the middle part of the movie while she was daydreaming.

Harry liked movie days.
Mostly because he had yet to kill any movie-playing equipment at this school, so he actually got to watch the movies. He was still sitting as far away as possible. Just in case.

Jeff was here. He had no Wokling stories. He was mostly a bit confused, but that was sort of normal. With a mixture of confusion and utter dork approval, he watched the film.
