Flight Club [Flight Shed, 2pm]

Gavin was down by the flight shed again, waiting for the rest of the club members to arrive before starting in on anything. Once they had, he gave them all some time to settle down, eat some moddable cookies before getting started.

"So, hey guys," he said, smiling. "Thanks for coming today. Today's lesson...is something I thought would be different but fun but challenging. The things we're going to be flying today are...sort of out of the ordinary. You'll see when you get in there and have to make a choice of what to fly. I think it'll be fun."

He winced briefly.

"I hope it's fun. Let's get going."

He opened the door to the shed and gestured the first person inside.

"Yeah. It's kind of exhilarating," he explained. "Adrenaline rush."

"Because you have to throw yourself off of something high?" Ben said. "Because I'm not seeing anything too exciting about the balloon thing."

"The balloon thing's more relaxing," he said. "It's really good for sightseeing. Imagine riding over places like Coruscant or Endor on a balloon like that."

"But not Tatooine," Ben decided. "There'd be nothing to look at."

"Hey, there's sand!" Gavin argued. "So, yeah, really nothing at all. People on this planet sail around the world in those balloons, believe it or not."

"...how do they go to the bathroom?" Ben asked.

"They make stops," he said and laughed. "It's not a nonstop trip."

"Oh, good," Ben said, looking relieved. "I had a mental image that was not kind to the people on the ground."

"Well, while I'm sure some less...nice people would do that, no, you make stops," he said. "It's just like a trip in a ship except it's a balloon."

"So it takes a lot longer," Ben said.

"A looooot longer," he said, nodding. "But it's a vacation, relaxing type thing. So it's meant to."

"I'm not good at relaxing," Ben said.

"So, don't take any hot air balloons on vacation," he advised. "Simple."

"Or skip vacations altogether," Ben said, nodding.

"Everyone needs a few days to relax," Gavin advised. "Or you'll end up run down so badly, you'll be defenseless at the worst possible moment."

"Let's imagine you have to stop and yawn at the worst possible moment," Gavin said. "You might think it won't happen to you but it will. Don't burn yourself out, Ben."

"Can't afford to slow down now," Ben said, sounding entirely too much like the rest of his family. "I'll sleep later."

Gavin just eyed him.

"Do you sleep now?"

"Sure."

"Uh huh." Still watching him. "You act like you're talking to someone who doesn't know you. Doesn't your know family, at least."

"Then you know you can't really talk us out of this," Ben replied.

"I can't," he said, nodding. "I know. But sleep. I don't care if you sleep in your chair. Sleep."
