Care for Magical Creatures; Period One. [ 11/10 ]

Today was a very exciting day for the class, indeed, as today was the day that their eggs were going to hatch! The danger shop classroom was stocked to the teeth with anything at all that might need to be available, from things to feed the little creatures with to weapons just in case they do end up quite hostile to flame retardant cloaks and squeaky little chew toys!

"Good morning, class!" Minsc greeted them. "Please go and care for your egg until they hatch and be prepared for whatever may come out! I have no better idea than you, so today should be a very interesting class! Be prepared for anything, as such is the way with magical creatures!"

Savannah might actually notice several tappings, actually, and cracks starting to spread from three different spots on her egg. The cracks grew bigger as the tapping increased; eventually, she might notice at those starting spots, three little white horns starting to push through.

Savannah started to gently help move pieces of shell away as she talked softly.

Work was being done from the interior of the egg as well, and, eventually, enough of the shell had fallen away that three soft, colourful noses were sniffing out from inside, one nuzzling up against Savannah's hand. Three tiny little noses belong to three very tiny little unicorns.

Their extreme tininess seemed to be a side effect of a unicorn being hatched rather than properly birthed.

Savannah's eyes and face lit up as she gently stroked them.

"Hi there, little ones," she said softly. "Welcome to Fandom."

At the pettings, the little unicorns gave out tiny, barely heard whinies and then, playfully, started to prance around, their little hooves stomping on the remains of the egg they'd just magically came from.

And then one started to try to eat the pieces of the shell.

"Oh no, sweetie, that can't be good for you," Savannah gently, trying to take the shell away.
