When Words Fail, Music Speaks club; Tuesday, 5pm. [ 11/04 ]

It was a good thing that there wasn't much to set up for music club, because Chad was finding himself completely distracted by the little red elephants and blue donkeys prancing around the room. Distracted, actually, wasn't heavy enough of a word. Fascinated, mesmerized, hypnotized seemed much better.

They were just so damn cute! If even a little confusing for him.

By the time everyone came in, he just shook his head, not taking his eyes off of them; they seemed to be dividing, and holding little rallies among themselves.

"Yeah," he said slowly to the group, "I...got nothing. Let's just play or something."

Penelope was giggling far too much as she sat at the piano and attempted to play Moonlight Sonata (really, she knew mostly classical pieces) but the little red elephants and blue donkeys were far too amusing as they bounced along the keys, thinking to help her most likely.

"They're so cute," she chirped in a small voice. "Do you know where they came from?"

"Fandom can be cute," she said, reaching out to tap the head of a particular elephant who was trying to play with her finger with its long red trunk. "I neither, pay much attention."

Penelope giggled again. "It would be amusing to try, wouldn't it?"

To the wee animals she asked, "Play for us, will you?" Glancing over at Chad, she smiled. The red elephants and blue donkeys seemed to understand her perfectly and lined up on the appropriate keys and started playing Yankee Doodle.

Robin giggled as well.

Robin attempted not to be distracted by the tiny animals. "Uhm, maybe next week would be a better time to talk about my idea."
