Phys Ed: Week 7, Period 2 (Fri. 10/24)

The Danger Shop was again resembling a movie theater when students arrived this week. Ronon was waiting along with a large bin of real popcorn.

"I hear your people are coming to town. I'm gonna help you prepare by showing a movie about avoiding being hit with wrenches called Fast Balls, Slow Men. After, I want you to write about how you can apply what you've seen to dealing with your parents, relatives, and friends this weekend."

He gestured to the popcorn. "Popcorn costs five laps around the theater perimeter. Don't think I'm not counting, McKay."

As Dick watched the movie, he made a note for himself: Dodge any wrenches.

It was stupid, she thought, to make them change so that they could sit around and watch a movie.

Ino was... just going to skip the popcorn then, and see if he noticed her not changing.

Oh, right, because this was totally helpful.

Ino doodled in her notebook and watched the clock.

Firekeeper wasn't writing anything about the movie. Firstly, because she couldn't write. Secondly, because as far as she knew no one was coming to visit her.

And there's a pair of wolves approaching Ronon. The human-shaped one wearing a slight frown.

Turtle hoped it looked like she was writing notes about the movie. She wasn't, of course; she was prepping things for her newspaper interview, because who needed a movie about dodgeball?

Summer wasn't taking notes because it was a movie. About dodgeball. Besides, she didn't have anyone visiting this weekend, thankfully.

Sokka LURVED the movie!

His paper ended up covered with doodles, instead of an explanation of how the movie would help, but he did manage to scribble "Dodge, dip, duck, dive, dodge" in the margin.

On one hand, a movie without popcorn was Wrong. On the other.... actually, there was no other, thanks to the evil of being forced to discover that exercise could actually feel good. Rassenfrassenevilbuttlesswoman... Plus it would keep Francine from fretting herself into a coma during the movie, so she suited up and, believe it or not, ran.

And then drew dodgeballs flying at those pictures.

Five laps? Pfft. Eve could do that standing on her head -- figuratively, people!

And so she did. Because yay, popcorn!

She hadn't, so much, which was the point. She also wasn't sure what sort of map would relate to a movie about dodging projectiles, but he was the teacher, so. "Will draw map, then."
