*winces* Yeah, that sucks.

He's got a thing for Kara, who's here with Cameron, who'd rather be here with me. *shakes head* Me? I'm here with Jack Harkness and his three other dates (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/190089.html?thread=8197513#t8197513) -- seems no one explained to him that it was customary to just ask one other person.... *rolls eyes*

So technically, I guess I'm here with a girl, two guys, and a cat. Of course anywhere else, that would be considered weird.

"You and Cam are together? I must of missed that one," she says with a smile as she shakes her head slightly.

"Harkness is something else."

*Parker comes bouncing into the Women's Restroom, and waves to Veronica*

Hi V! Fun dancing with you and Lee!

*she glances at Vala, and grins*

AWESOME outfit. Very Bladerunner!

*gives Vala a thumbs' up*

Veronica looks at Parker like she's crazy.

"Yeah, fun dancing with you, too. Um, are you feeling okay?"

"I feel fantastic! It's so nice, you know? The whole dance is just, great! Lilly did a good job, don't you think?"

She fluffs her hair, and grins at them in the mirror. "I'm so happy for her and Rover."

Veronica nods.

"Yeah, the dance is wonderful. I'm sure Lilly is proud. Especially since her man won Homecoming King."

*frowns* Uh, thanks? *not sure what that means, but is more concerned about Parker's attitude 'adjustment'*

Uh, just how much punch have you had, Parker?

One glass, and wow, that was a while ago.

I'm so glad Cally won for Homecoming Queen! She deserved it!

Uh, yeah. I'm happy for her too.

Have you been playing around with anything else... party-like...?

*'Cuz if not, the strain of running the campaign finally broke her!*

Parker stares at Vala, deadpan for a second...

...then cracks up.

"Nooo! Why would I do that? It's such a great party!"

She sighs happily.

"Michael's being really sweet, and I'm having a special super time. I saw your man Cam. Cam-the-Man. God, what a costume. Fabulous!"

*reapplies lipstick*

*That's it, she's completely cracked... but at least seems like one of the happy insanities?*

Yeah, Cam looks great. So Michael's seeing you home and all?

*Parker beams*

Yup! He's sticking to me like glue! Isn't it great? *she sighs* He's not mad about Rob Gordon.

*Parker sad!*

I was mean to him. To Gordon.

Yeah, that's great. It makes me feel a lot better. ~~As long as he's sane, and isn't the one who slipped you something.~~

Nope! Haven't had anything since the Carnival! I probably should, you know. I have to keep dancing!

Well, it's pretty new, yeah.

And Jack? Oh, yeah. *laughs* That's one way of putting it...

"That's cool," she says with a genuine smile. "Cam's a good guy."

Yeah. *grins* Yeah, he is.

Veronica gives Vala a wistful smile. She wishes Logan would grow up and get his head out of his ass so they could be together. Hopefully he'll work out his issues with Rory.

She leans in to Vala and whispers conspiritually, "What's up with Parker? She's not possessed like Janet or anything, is she?"

*whispers back, not that Parker's even noticing*

No! Not like Janet... no, definitely not. But I think she's on drugs!

Veronica nods emphatically.

"Something, cause she is *not* acting like Parker. You know, I caught her dancing with Lee and Crichton a few minutes ago?"

I believe it. I think I've seen her dancing with anything and anyone that moves out there. With a kind of scary glee. And I think I believe her about the punch, she's been too busy making the rounds to have gotten drunk off of it.

"Are you sure she couldn't have caught something from Janet last night?"

No, no. *shakes head* Trust me, Janet's, uh, infection is actually really rare and hard to catch. And this definitely isn't it.

*looks confused and concerned* Gremlins? Psycho psych teacher? Giant Squid? Cafeteria food? ... Campaign stress?

Veronica frowns.

"Any and all of the above? Lord knows it could be anything in this place. Should we be concerned?"
