The Club Fair; the Gym; Friday Afternoon [ 10/03 ]

Turtle had been more than happy to volunteer to get help with setting up for the club fair all morning, with all the tables and posters and sign up clipboards and refreshments and subtle product placement from Turtle & Canary. There was even a great big board by the door boasting the Club Schedule.

It was a little sad to have to leave the mecca of organization she had created to attend Student Council, but she was back quickly after to get the club fair started. And scurry over to her own table.

[[ wait for the OCD or be crippled by a kick to the shins. Your choice. OCD IS UP! You are free from the threat of kicking for now. I hope I didn't forget anyone! ]]

[[ Each Most clubs will have two threads: a promotion table for interaction with the club head(s) and an OOC sign up sheet to join the club. A few clubs have an exception or two, and those exceptions will be pointed out in the thread. ]]

[[ ETA: Soooo, I made a little "oops" on the schedule, and there actually ARE no 3pm classes. So ignore those Xs. If it helps anyway, 1pm = Fourth Period, 2pm = Fifth Period, sorry about the mix up and any confusion! ]]

Rikku drew herself up to her most professional. "Do you mean in general or just during the meeting times for the paper itself?" she asked. "I can grant partial immunity for all paper-related activities, but I'd hate to concede blanket immunity for all hug scenarios. Especially today. I need a hug."

She hadn't meant to say that last bit out loud. Oops.

Warren eyed her warily, an eyebrow raised slightly.

That wasn't Rikku's usual way of insisting that she wrap her arms around him and squeeze until he went blue. Her usual way was... somehow even more obnoxious than that.

"I'll settle for immunity during the meetings," he decided, crossing his arms over his chest. "How badly do you need that hug right now?"

Rikku shrugged it off. "S'nothing. Bad day. Just worried about some ... stuff. You're signing up? Really? We kinda need people. Most of the people who were on paper left, I think. I was kinda scared it was just gonna be me. I mean, I can probably talk enough to fill a paper, just not every week."

"Yeah, I'll sign up," Warren relented, giving his shoulders a shrug. "Doesn't require me to talk to people, much, and I can... I don't know. Vent about things I don't like, or something like that. Pretend to be productive."

...

And then, possibly against his best judgment, he held open his arms.

"One time offer. Take it or leave it."

"That'd be a neat column. Things I Hate This Week. That'd be awesome. You'd have to come to meetings but you could just glare at people, really."

Okay, she couldn't turn down the hug. She walked up to him and wrapped her arms around. Not quite as squeezy as her usual.

"Thanks," she said softly.
