Turtle had been more than happy to volunteer to get help with setting up for the club fair all morning, with all the tables and posters and sign up clipboards and refreshments and subtle product placement from Turtle & Canary. There was even a great big board by the door boasting the Club Schedule.

It was a little sad to have to leave the mecca of organization she had created to attend Student Council, but she was back quickly after to get the club fair started. And scurry over to her own table.

[[ ~~Each~~ Most clubs will have two threads: a promotion table for interaction with the club head(s) and an OOC sign up sheet to join the club. A few clubs have an exception or two, and those exceptions will be pointed out in the thread. ]]

[[ ETA: Soooo, I made a little "oops" on the schedule, and there actually ARE no 3pm classes. So ignore those Xs. If it helps anyway, 1pm = Fourth Period, 2pm = Fifth Period, sorry about the mix up and any confusion! ]]

Ben wouldn't say "eeeeeeeee". He wouldn't.

"That's astral!" Ben exclaimed. "I'm sure you haven't."

Gavin was pretty sure but man, it'd been awhile since he'd flown. He needed to do something about that.

"Glad you think so," he said and grinned. "We'll probably start in the sim but if we can actually get in the air, I want to."

Ben nodded. "Definitely. Maybe I can call in some favors? I know the guy who's running the galaxy..."

Laughing, Gavin nodded. "Hey, if you've got the connections, go for it. Nothing to lose, right? If they say no, we'll just spend a lot of time in the sim."

"I can't promise a Star Destroyer, but maybe a couple of X-Wings," Ben said thoughtfully.

"I'd take an X-Wing over a star destroyer any day," he said. "Star Destroys are so...bloated."

Ben smiled, but didn't tell Gavin what he'd be in charge of some day. "They wouldn't let me try out the simulation where you crash a Star Destroyer into a moon," he said, sounding a little disappointed.

"Were they worried you'd show them up?" Gavin asked with a grin.

Ben grinned back. "Probably. Mom and Dad aren't exactly terrible in combat."

"Your last name precedes you," Gavin said. "No one wants to tangle with a Skywalker."

"Too bad I can't paint that as a giant sign on the front of my fighter," Ben teased. "It would save a lot of time. They'd all just get out of my way, right?"

"Or they'd try to come at you harder to prove they were better than you," Gavin said.

"That would get old fast," Ben decided. "Maybe that's why the Jedi ships are stealthed--Dad must've gotten tired of taking on idiots who thought they were better than he was."

"Wouldn't surprise me," Gavin said. "He's proven himself enough but I'm sure every fresh recruit wants to be a legend by taking down a Skywalker."

"Or a Solo," Ben added. "The Millennium Falcon's still causing trouble. Force knows how Uncle Han keeps it in the sky."

"Magic?" Gavin suggested. "Or sheer will, maybe?"

Ben laughed. "I think it's that second one. The ship is a member of the family at this point."

"If it works, flies and gets you through nasty situations, I'd keep it going too," Gavin decided.

"I don't think I can call in that big a favor," Ben said.

Ah, family drama.

"It'd be awesome if you could but I understand," Gavin said and laughed. "Anything you can, that's fine, Ben. We'll take anything."

Ben looked relieved. He didn't want to disappoint Admiral Darklighter.

"I'll see you at the meeting, then!"

"I'll be there," Gavin said brightly.
