Turtle had been more than happy to volunteer to get help with setting up for the club fair all morning, with all the tables and posters and sign up clipboards and refreshments and subtle product placement from Turtle & Canary. There was even a great big board by the door boasting the Club Schedule.

It was a little sad to have to leave the mecca of organization she had created to attend Student Council, but she was back quickly after to get the club fair started. And scurry over to her own table.

[[ ~~Each~~ Most clubs will have two threads: a promotion table for interaction with the club head(s) and an OOC sign up sheet to join the club. A few clubs have an exception or two, and those exceptions will be pointed out in the thread. ]]

[[ ETA: Soooo, I made a little "oops" on the schedule, and there actually ARE no 3pm classes. So ignore those Xs. If it helps anyway, 1pm = Fourth Period, 2pm = Fifth Period, sorry about the mix up and any confusion! ]]

John ~~and his hair~~ was leaning against the booth, looking to sway some gentlemen into joining up. He'd mention the satellite project only as a last resort.

Romeo waved to John and his hair. "What does the fraternity do, anyhow?" He was already scribbling his name on the sign-up sheet.

John wasn't entirely sure. "Mainly guy stuff. Like build satellites." Or he could talk about it as a first resort.

"Satellites?" It might have been the right first resort, because Romeo was definitely interested. "I took auto mechanics this summer."

Which ... might not have seemed to have much to do with anything, really, and he must have realized that, because he added, "I just meant, maybe I could try to help."

John perked right up. "Absolutely! That's just the attitude Kappa Kappa Gremlin's looking for in members. You know anyone else good at design or building?"

"Good at" might have been an exaggeration, but not one Romeo would object to.

"No one's coming to mind, but it's not something I would normally ask about," he said. "Maybe the people in physics with us? Or, well, the male half of them."

"Oh right, we should get McKay. He thinks he's a genius or something," John said thoughtfully, deciding to keep an eye out for the boy.

"He does always seem to have something to say in class," Romeo noted, not really knowing McKay beyond that. "If I bump into him, I'll send him over."

"Soooo...." Sokka asked. "What's this all about?"

"It's about guys doing guy stuff and building a satellite," John replied, rather pleased with the response the satellite mention had gotten from Romeo.

Sokka perked right up. "What kind of satellite??!?!? Will it have lasers??!?!"

"Whatever kind of satellite we want," John grinned. "And of course it will have lasers!" He had no idea.

"Count me in!" Sokka told him gleefully, with a thumbs-up. "Lasers are AWESOME."

"Um?" Ben asked.

Very eloquent, that Ben.

"Hey Ben," John smiled. "You interested in rushing?" No, there was no rushing, he just liked saying it.

"Rushing where?"

"It means joining a fraternity," John explained. "...Which is what Kappa Kappa Gremlin is."

"Ohhh," Ben said. "What does a fraternity do?"

John looked Ben over, not sure if he should be encouraging. "Well, this one's going to do guy stuff, like build a satellite."

"I'm good at building stuff," Ben offered, smiling.

"Sounds like we could use a guy like you," John replied with a pleased nod. "And seriously. Robot. Chop chop."

"I'm heading down to visit Kaylee after this," Ben promised. "I'll get all the stuff today."
