Hands-On Art, Class #5, Period 1
"Hey, guys. Glad you're all back and your correct genders and everything," Lily greeted the class when everyone had arrived. She was still wearing heels. Her back was killing her but her calves looked hot. "Hope in all the confusion you remembered to have a subject in mind for this week's project. And if not... well, just don't tell me about it, it's really easy to fake. Don't tell anyone I told you that."
"Today we're doing still life. This is like the Van Goh from last week," she said, passing out some handouts depicting some well-known pieces, which was to say they got pretty pictures of fruit and flowers. "Still life is basically something inanimate, and no, not necessarily alive. They just call it that. If it's going to run away from you and bark at the door when a car drives by, or if you have to yell at it for scratching its nose while you're working, you're doing still life wrong.
"They also don't have to be boring. Sure, you've seen plenty of bowls of apples before, but like I've said a million times- or like, five- it's all about making it your own. Besides, boring can be pretty in art galleries. So you know the rules, use what you want, if you need to turn it in next week, awesome, and anyone who needs to turn anything in to me can do so. Oh! And next week we're working on landscapes. Bring in a picture from around Fandom, of home, print off a picture off the Internet, whatever, just bring it on in. Okay, get to work."

Her subject (http://www.hbo.com/sixfeetunder/artwork/artwork4.shtml) might seem just a little morbid, but it was definitely still.
Re: Work!
The way she'd scrunched it up gave texture, and there was all the colour variety she could want.

She began to sketch, trying to get the details as correct as she could, so it was pretty slow going.
Re: Work!
Yeah, she'd totally forgotten about the assignment.
Hmmm. She really could use a new pair of these. . . .
Re: Work!
