Today the Danger Shop was set up to resemble a swanky bar, and Bond looked especially happy to be behind the counter. Really.

"Mixology," he said, barely even waiting for the class to finish arriving before he began, pouring the contents of several bottles into a shaker. "If there's one skill every person should master in their lifetime, it's the ability to make at least one cocktail and make it well. It will impress both your friends and your potential lovers, it can lead to exciting employment opportunities, and since the Geneva Convention has yet to rule on Jägerbombs, can provide an impromptu instrument of torture."

Putting the lid on, Bond started shaking the silver container as if it had personally offended him. "Today you will all experiment with making cocktails, both traditional recipes and your own if you feel adventurous. All the equipment you need is there for you, and the alcohol is simulated so you don't need to worry about any ill-effects," he said, carefully straining his drink into a glass. Tucking the bottles he'd used under one arm, he made his way for an out of the way table up the back, glass in hand."If you have any questions, you can ask Mr Darklighter, or figure them out on your own since this is hardly rocket science."

Hurley eyed the bottles.

He was wondering what would happen if you mixed tiny shots of everything.

Not that he'd drink that, because he didn't have a death wish.

"Hi, Hurley," Amber said, sidling up next to him. "I made something," she held out her glass. "Want to try it?"

She just added a bunch of stuff to a mixer, shook it up, added an olive, and voila!

"I'm not even going to ask what's in it," Hurley said. "But sure, I'll guinea pig."

He gingerly reached to take the glass.

Amber smiled and waited to see what he thought of her drink. She added cranberry juice too it too, so maaaaybe it was kind of good.

Hurley took a sip and blanched.

"Oh man, I really don't want to know what's in there."

"Not good, uh?" she giggled. "That's a shame. I was really hoping I made something worth naming."

"I think," Hurley said, setting the glass down. "Olives and cranberry don't mix."

"I guess I better keep my day job," she mused, still grinning.

"So, you going to make anything?"

"Depends, you gonna drink it?" Hurley asked. "I promise, I'll play nice."

"Sure," she said. "You were game for mine, I can at least be game for yours."

Hurley smiled and dug around.

He settled on a mix of grenadine, ginger ale, and rum.

He garnished it with two maraschino cherries speared with a plastic sword.

"There," he said.

Amber watched him with avid interest because really, that looked good.

She reached for the glass and took a sip, raising her brows. "Wow, this is really quite good. You've done this before, haven't you?"

"Nope," Hurley said. "I mainly just... added alcohol to a Shirley Temple."

"My family are beer freaks; I don't know much about alcohol other than I don't like tequila."

Hurley chuckled. "That's kinda my brother's poison of choice."

"It's nasty stuff. I mean, you sit and drink it long enough your mouth ceases to taste the nasty. You just have to get there."

"Yeah, I'm not a drinker, really," Hurley said. "I mean, seventeen and all."

"Yah, here it doesn't seem to matter," she stated with a little nod. "I'm not much of one seeing how my ma in an alcoholic. Or damn near close."

"Oh," Hurley said. "Yeah, I guess that'd, like, do it."
