The classroom is empty except for a large raven perched on Dream's desk, busying himself with a bit of string. On the bulletin board, a hand that manages to be both elaborate and angular has written this message:

Students-

Classes are cancelled today to permit you time to prepare for Homecoming. You may sign in and leave. Remember your homework assignments for Monday.

Also, I am updating my class rosters. Check the class lists on the bulletin board and see me in my office if they are in error. All students who have not attended class in the last week and have not submitted an excuse are being dropped, effective Monday.

Anders signs in and eyes the raven nervously for a moment before leaving.

Sam signs in, barely noticing her surroundings. She now has exotic plans to go back to bed and catch up on her sleep.

Janet signs in, her signature just a little bit shaky, then drags herself back to her room to sleep.

Sonia is rather wide awake, and is just a little disappointed to see class has been cancelled. She signs in, glances warily at the raven, and leaves, not quite sure what to do with the rest of her morning.

Connor signs in, glad class is cancelled. he hates mornings.

Murphy signs in as well, his signature placed so close to his brother's as to almost blend into it.

Turning back to the dorms, Connor leans just a little on his brother. "They need some kind of email system to sned out notices of classes bein' cancelled. 'S too early ta be gettin' out o' bed if we don't have ta."

Slight grumble of agreement. "Probably thinkin' it builds character or some such. I ask ya, what good is havin' character if yer too dead ta use it properly?"

Thomasina signs in and then heads off to do Homecoming things.

Logan was *this close* to skipping today, but he was happy he made the effort and even happier that he could go back to bed now.

Jack comes in late directly from the clinic (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandom_clinic/22086.html) and signs in before going to his room for sleep.

Janet signes in, wonders where everyone else in the class had vanished too, and adds a note that she'd like to continue this as an independent study. "How do I do that?" she murmurs. "Come in during office hours instead?" She yawns and tries to decide if she should eat or get some more sleep.
