Buffy wasn't sure how, exactly, she'd ended up with a library aide position except for the fact that it kind of seemed fitting.

Ignore how she didn't know how exactly what people did in a library, really, besides look through books on how to vanquish demons and things. Look, Sunnydale High School didn't have the most typical library. She could count on one hand the number of times she'd seen someone actually check out a book. Oh, god, she hoped no one checked out any books.

She'd just be at the desk, looking busy.

Yep! Looking busy. Mostly Buffy was moving things around on the desk every now and then. (Sorry, Sam.)

Looking busy had lost its luster. Now she was trying to use a pencil to pin her hair up, which kept falling out so she had to keep redoing it. Yes, she was bored enough to spend an hour doing this if need be.

She had to get up and do some wandering. Had to. If someone called, she'd hear them, though.

A granola bar counted as lunch. It even had chocolate chips in it, so therefore. The library was technically closed, but Buffy was hanging around.

That's it, next week she was finding a way to get like, a dummy in here that she could hit, or something. Might as well do something useful with her time, beside eye the book cart like- Oh, hey, that was something she could do for five minutes.

Poor Buffy didn't know classes were actually over for the day, and therefore was still here. Which was probably a good thing since she'd be ditching already- hey, that was a computer. In the library. That didn't look to be from the Triassic Period. Ooh, websurfing.

YES, I HAD TO, OKAY? It was this or she had to come hang out all day on other people's shifts and I'm lazy.

I also apparently need an OOC icon.

Indy had managed to do a little exploring yesterday in town which would explain why there was a box of doughnuts from JGOB in one arm and a take out container holding a few cups from the Perk.

"Hope you haven't eaten breakfast yet," Indy said putting both items on the counter. "And I take it by your position behind the desk that you are Buffy Summers."

It was amazing how fast Buffy dropped looking busy. "Yeah. Hi! That'd be me," she said. "And you're... the librarian? Or possibly pastry delivery man?"

"Librarian," Indy said with a small grin. "I only moonlight as a pastry delivery man in my off hours. I'm Indiana Jones. I assume you've been given the low down on the library? Not that I know everything about it yet."

"Uhh, I know it's where the books are?" she said, wincing a little. "I'm kind of new."

"That's a good start," Indy chuckled. "Don't worry, it's my first week here too. I'd just stay away from Special Collections until we can know more about it."

She raised her eyebrows. "Special Collections? Sounds... special."

"Something like that," he said casting a glance at the doors. "Apparently it's a mixture of dangerous information and Pandora's box. One librarian was apparently shot in there, so no running around in there until we have a better idea of what's going on. I may organize an expedition in there later on next week."

Buffy looked towards the doors herself, looking more interested. "Pandora's Box, that's the thing where it's like a big fake peanut can of badness? Expeditions would be good."

Indy smirked at that. "Fake peanut can. I like that. Are you sure you're up for an expedition? People got shot in there."

"I'm a good dodger," she said, waving her hand vaguely.

Dick wanted to get some general history books after the events of The Doctor's class, so he went to the library to get them!

And there he saw his Little Sister. "Hey, Buffy," he said when he spotted her. "Are you an aide or do you just like spending Friday afternoons with the books?"

"You can dodge bullets?" Indy joked.

"I'm spry," she said lightly.

"You know, if I name them all, that might keep me busy for like a whole day," she said, which probably answered the question.

"You could resort them based on their new names," Dick said.

"Too much work."

"Or you could learn origami," Dick suggested. "After a whole day, you'd have a paper crane sanctuary."

"Oh, don't give me ideas, I think I made a good impression on the librarian and I don't want to be Weird Paper Crane Girl," she said.

"Oh, come on. You know it would be fun. Just make a ton of paper cranes and hide them on the bookshelves, in drawers, on chairs, that kind of thing," Dick said, doing his very best to give her ideas. "It'll be like an Easter Egg hunt, only with paper cranes."

"You know what? That sounds like a great idea," Buffy said. "You should totally do it."

"Only if you keep anyone who might be here next Friday from seeing me do it," Dick said.

"Are you serious?" she asked after a pause.

"Not really," Dick said. "But it would be funny."
