Anemone had heard a rumor that there was a new librarian, so she and Gulliver arrived nice and early to get things in order.  Getting things 'in order' might bear a startling resemblence to wielding a broom and dustpan as she muttered snidely at the 100s about  behaving themselves,  but that was neither here nor there.


[OOC:  ETA --  Today is "Please, Freshmen, Drive Ahdari Up The Wall" day.  Add that to some of the wackos in town from the RNC (from BOTH parties, thanks), and it is SP to the max.  As in, um, I will try to ping on lunch, but no promises.]

Anemone is off in the stacks somewhere, and you might occasionally see a flash of pink hair as she moves through the rows. Ask Gulliver, or ring the bell on the desk if you actually want service.

2nd Period

She's back at the desk, reading the latest issue of Flight Journal while Gulliver sleeps.

Finished with her magazine, now she's doing some online shopping. For school supplies. Really.

Yes, a new surfboard is a school supply.

The library is currently closed, unless you're the Librarian or one of the aides. Or unless you're here to bribe Anemone. She's happy to take a bribe if you have to study over your lunch break.

4th Period

Armed with some fresh tea, she's sprawled out on the floor, coloring. There's extra paper, if you feel like joining in.

Robin would love to go surfing with her. He came in that morning with a plastic bag with the Everglades boat tours gift shop logo on it.

Anemone looked up from her magazine and grinned when she realized who her visitor was. "Hey Sweet-Robin," she said, leaning over the desk. "What's new?"

"Hi Anenome! How was your summer?" He tried to hide the bag behind him. It wasn't working.

No, it wasn't working, but Anemone could pretend for Robin. "Pretty dull, actually," she said sweetly, pretending to think. "The island just kept moving all over the world, that's all."

"I made you a dreamcatcher in my art class, but it's in my room," she said, going around the desk so he wouldn't have to hop up. "How was your summer? Did you have fun?"

"I had a lot of fun." Robin nodded. He loved sharing tales of his adventures. "I worked with a boat tour in the Everglades, and got to be in a production of meta Jesus Christ Superstar."

"Really? Are you going to try out for the play this semester?" Anemone asked. "There's a theatre open in town, now."

"Uh huh, I'm going after school." He pulled the bag out from behind him and pulled out his gift for her. A necklace with a hand carved wooden figure of a gator with a flamingo perched on it's back.

"Cool!" she said, clapping her hands and sitting down on the floor. "I hope the auditions go well. Do you know what this one is about?"

"It's a romantic comedy." Robin said. "There's match making and a guy trying to mess up someone else's relationship, and a happy ending." He held out the necklace. "And I got this for you in Florida."

"A lot different than the last play, then," she mused. "The radio said it was Tidus-something, and was pretty violent." She hadn't gone, least it appeal too much to her Coralian aspect.

"Thank you Robin," she said, accepting the necklace. "Aw, they're cute! I had other animals in here this summer, but no crocodiles or flamingos."

"Polar bears, drop bears, parrots," Anemone listed, thinking hard. "I think that's it. There were more animal invasions on the island, but they weren't in the library while I was there."

"Killer koala of death," Anemone said seriously. "They look sweet, and drop on your head from above and eat your brains."
