Thurviving Mad Thcientithts [week 7]

The Danger Shop was once more a castle, (one that should look familiar, as it had appeared in the class a few times), and the students would find themselves standing on the battlements once they'd entered.

In the distance, winding up the road to the castle, a mob of angry villagers could be seen. And yes, every single one was wielding flaming torches.

Igor grinned as he faced his students. "All of you have the potential to make excellent Igorth. You performed each tathk I thet you, and you never quethtioned the morality of them. You jutht did your jobth. Thith ith our latht clath, and I underthtand final examth are traditional. Yourth hath only one quethtion."

He stepped to the side and gestured over the edge. The mob had arrived and were pounding on the doors; it would only be a matter of time until they broke through, and nothing in the castle would surive. "You are all Igorth, you have therved your matherth well, but now the flaming torcheth have arrived. What do you do?"

A door appeared out of thin air, leading out of the danger shop. "Remember what I told you, the motht important thing an Igor mutht remember. You can leave onthe you've anthwered." With a quick grin, Igor walked out the door, and it stayed open behind him.

[Pleathe wait for OCD UP.]

Agnes gaped at him. "It'th..."

She stamped her foot and dropped the lisp. "It's everyone's mob. You want to mess around with unnatural things Man wasn't meant to touch? Fine, but there are consequences to things. The mob's as much yours as the master's. And you know what? Somewhere in that mob, someone's going to get hurt. You know it's going to happen. Someone's going to get a little too happy with their pitchfork and stab their neighbor by accident. Are you going to be on the sidelines with your needle and thread?"

"No, of course not!" Agnes protested. "...Well, maybe? It depends. I don't know!"

She looked at Igor, terrified, as she realized that eventually she'd have to make those kinds of decisions all the time.

"But if you don't judge, you could end up doing evil, evil things," Agnes protested, floundering for solid ground. "But, I guess, if you DO judge, you end up arrogant and bossy..."
