Aly was waiting in the Danger Shop for the class to meet though she planned on ending up being outside by the end of the session. She waited for them, bouncing from foot to foot impatiently. Finally once everyone arrived, she began.

"So today we have two projects. The first is the one I gave you at the beginning of the term which was to design a plan to blow up the school. If you've ~~handwavily, I assume~~ done so, we have a set up in the Danger Shop where you can place your charges and see how the plan holds up."

"Second thing is we're going to head outside to just in the Preserve and fire off some cannon." Aly grinned. "Which, okay, are basically outmoded now and entirely effective as modern weapons for this world, let alone some of the civilisations some of you come from, but they're a lot of fun, they're tricky, and they're temperamental. So it should be an interesting last exercise."

She went through a quick but detailed lecture on how to load and fire a cannon using a Danger Shop mock-up to demonstrate on.

Once the students had tried out their explosion plans and checked out the simulated cannon, Aly led them outside for practice on the real thing.

"And one last thing to you all," she said with a grin after the cannons had been fired many, many times and all the shells used up. "I've definitely enjoyed having you all in my class. I hope you learned something and had fun, and I hope to see you in future classes I teach or in my office if you ever decide to visit."

Or a replica thereof. Go ahead and give an assessment and all that of how you think your plan would have worked.

Agnes's plan -- which was very in-depth and well thought-out -- involved planting lots of charges on the outside of the building, rather than inside at the structurally weak points. There were also a number of charges to be placed in the ground around the structure, and quite a lot of them at strategic points on the roof. Unfortunately, the TYPE of charges to be planted in the indicated spots was a bit difficult to determine -- there were footnotes, and a table in the back, and a further appendix. A bit of digging would discover that the planned explosives were, in fact, mostly fireworks, and the plan wasn't really one for blowing up the school at all, but for making it APPEAR AS THOUGH the school were blown up. Especially since the paragraphs of accompanying text made a few oblique references to part B of the plan, casting an invisibility spell before the smoke clears.

Really, this sort of thing more seemed like something the Shiba family could do. But since they weren't here (and really, Ichigo wouldn't ask Ganju for help even if it killed him), Ichigo had decided to rig the entire foundations of the school with explosives.

It wasn't so much about placing them in tactical places. Like he knew what the weak points of a building were anyway, so he'd just... used a lot of them. A whole lot. In fact, it took the dorms and nearby buildings down right with it.

"Um... That wasn't supposed to happen, right?"

Ella was a little spooked by the explosives so, while she understood where they should go, she didn't end up using nearly enough. She took out a few internal walls and did some smoke damage to the rest of the structure, but nothing that a little drywall and paint wouldn't fix.

Reno wasn't one to skimp, but he was also perhaps the first one to concede that explosives were his partner's specialty, back home. Not his own.

So he'd gone ahead and given Rude a ~~handwavey~~ call the other night in preparation of this final.

Rude, being as helpful as usual, had just suggested Reno use 'lots.' Thanks, Rude.

Karal had had Altra's help, and the 'cat was nothing if not cunning. While it went against the grain, the two had put together a plan. The school had ventilation, and Altra could Jump anywhere.

Explosives were planted as close as the ventilation shaft could get Altra to the corners of the building, and at every supporting wall. On every floor.

"I think this might be cheating," Karal murmured as a smug Altra returned to him. :Aly said devise a plan. Kerowyn taught you to use every resource you can get your hands on. This plan does that:

It was a spectacular and effective explosion, one that left Karal feeling unsettled.

Enjoy the sunshine. Find a partner to work on the cannon with. ~~Shh, I know it takes more than two people usually.~~

Agnes headed outside and breathed in the fresh air while looking for a partner.

Ella wandered over to Agnes. "Do you need a partner?"

"Yes, I do," Agnes told her with a smile. "...Uh. Depending on what you're planning on shooting at."

"I hadn't quite thought that far," Ella said thoughtfully. "I was just going to aim it at some trees, or something. Or perhaps into thin air."

"Sounds good," Agnes agreed. Because no matter how "cool" it would be, she really, really didn't want to be firing at people or causing destruction. She had the feeling that some of the other students around here might. "I'm still a bit spooked by this class."

Reno scratched the back of his head as he made his way outside. Cannons. Cannons, he could handle. ShinRa had made good use of cannons back home.

Maybe these ones wouldn't collapse into themselves after being fired once, though. Reno could hope.

With a partner, swab out, load, and fire the cannons. Not at people. Just to be clear.

Karal was here and had been here all along. He really, really had.

For she is there and sad about the class ending.

And I have a doctor's appointment in the early afternoon but other than that, I'll be around.
