Any of my students who have to write for other classes can resubmit homework to me for extra credit as long as it meets the requirements for the homework submission for Journalism 101. That is, an essay of 100 words.

For those of you unclear on exactly what I mean by that, I mean precisely 100 words - no more, no less.

Reyes? I will accept 'Dude' as a single word from you if you need to fiddle with your word count. I've heard you talk and it's allowable as a signature sort of thing. Journalism can sometimes be treated as direct address - your mouth to God's ear - and I'm feeling permissive.

No one else gets to pull that, however. I'm only a benevolent tyrant when it suits me.

((OOC: Frankly? As long as whatever you write is interesting, Spider will probably let you pass his class, no matter how often he fails your homework. But something will have to show up in the homework comments once a week... whether it's an insult to his ancestry, a challenge to a duel, blackmail/bribery attempts, lewd comments about the tentacle monster or actual homework.))

((Also OOC - And Spider doesn't actually obey most of the rules of journalism. He's here as a sort of glorified house arrest and torture and all he cares about is getting his students to pick up a bit of anarchy and the desire to search for truth. He's a lousy teacher and all most of his students will learn is how to argue and stir up public opinion.))
