When entering the Danger Shop today (because there was a handwavy notification) they'd probably note that Charlotte wasn't there.

Instead there was Dale Cooper. And instead of home baked goods there were doughnuts from J'GOB and coffee (LOTS o' Coffee)

"Good morning class," Dale said in greeting. "Ms. York is out of town this week and asked me to cover for her. While I may not be as experienced or knowledgeable as Miss York in this topic, I know one thing that is very important regarding shopping: endurance."

Dale flipped a switch and the Danger Shop provided the backdrop for a shopping mall.

"Today you will be given a list of tasks to complete in a limited amount of time. I suggest you fuel up on doughnuts and coffee. You'll need the energy."

Ned took off to get the supplies with a raccoon attached to his shoulder. She kept chittering in his ear and he hoped it was encouragement and not her laughing at him.

He went through ten sweaters before finding a too short, pea green colored sweater that almost cut off his breathing when he put it on.

The shoe salesman was harder and wouldn't shut up about his wife and ingrate kids. It took Ned a long time to finally get a pair of shoes that matched and fit before he took off.

He didn't even know what a Hot Topic was but he ended up with a black beret with sequins on it. It was ugly. Now Kaylee was definitely laughing. And she kept laughing while he ate a meatball sub and used his hand as a napkin and a bib. Still, nothing on his clothes though, god, he wouldn't have cared if there had been.

Someone shoved a poll in his face and Ned shoved the raccoon back at them. That got them to leave him alone before he could go into Sharper Image. He had no idea what was Zen. He bought an electronic pen. It wasn't zen.

He finished in over an hour (damn shoes salesman) and missed the zen part. Oh well.
