Thurviving Mad Thcientithtth [08.08]
The Danger Shop was made up to look like a laboratory, with enough workbenches for each student. "Today," Igor proclaimed, as he led the class into the Danger Room, his lurching gait seeming oddly cheerful as a very mixed up looking dog pranced by his side, "you're going to try your handth at some true Igor handiwork."
"The pieceth you collected latht week have been thorted and cleaned, you'll find them on the metal trayth under the theetht. The trayth have your nameth on them. Today, you'll uthe the itemth in your thatchelth to create a creature from your pieceth."
He grinned crookedly and patted Scraps, who yipped a high pitched yip, then woofed a deep, booming woof, wagging his tail. "Thith ith Thcrapth, my dog. I made him out of pieceth. You might not be ready to create a dog, but I'm thure everyone of you can make thomething. Neat thitcheth and attention to detail and remember, you can't afford to be thqueamith if you're working for a mad thcientith. That way lieth a quick trip off the battlementth.
He waved a hand at them. "Off you go, and you can work in pairth or on your own, but keep in mind that next week, you'll be animating today'th creation."

The talky/watchy thing
Build Your Beast!
[ooc: all the bits are clean and intact, and seem to have been placed in a sort of stasis.]
Re: Build Your Beast!
He wound up with a bit of pig nipples and a guinea pig and-- well, it's really best to leave it to the imagination from there on in.

Re: Build Your Beast!
In the end, he settled on a simple thing. He went about piecing the parts together and ended up with a bird with one wing shorter than the other, a large head and tail feathers that were sharper than he'd meant.
Re: Build Your Beast!
She could sew fairly well, too, so her creation shaped up nicely. It ended up being a small doglike chimera -- mostly dog -- with monkey arms added in front of its forepaws, tiny bat wings for decoration, and a stubby little horn in the middle of its forehead. She couldn't remember what sort of animal she'd gotten the brain from, and just hoped that whatever it was, it was friendly.
All of her leftover parts -- and there were a pretty good assortment of them -- she left out for other students to take if they needed.
Re: Build Your Beast!
"The finger bone is connected to the... neck bone... the neck bond is connected to the... ear bit..."
The finished product was very interesting.
Re: Build Your Beast!
Once the urge to vomit had passed, he was able to arrange the parts in some semblance of a workable order. His stitches weren't very neat, but he managed to get the thing to stay together.
Re: Build Your Beast!
He started with a ribcage, added a carapace to the lower half, scales and something unidentfiable with feathers on the front. Limbs got first tacked, and then riveted on at random intervals and directions. Finally Bender attached a tail on one end and a couple of extra eyes on the other. So he could tell which direction it was facing.
