"Today, we're going to be a little more practical than we've been so far." Kerrigan had her arms crossed; she was still wearing her coat, although she seemed to have given up her constant battle with the boney spines that made up her hair. "The name of this class is 'The Right Tools', and unlike what you all might think, that doesn't necessarily mean anything that can stab, rend and maim. Passive means can make as much of a difference in the right situation as a knife or a rifle."

She might've shot a look at a few students on the word rifle. "Sometimes, you're going to need the ability to hide. I'm not talking in the sense of what some of you might've learned from Professor Aly; we're talking strictly short-time offensive stealth maneuvering. The essentials are simple: keep cover, make sure nobody's looking your way, distract them if they might run a danger of doing so, and keep an eye out for non-human detection tech. If you're dealing with a camera system, figure out the angle of those cameras. No security system has yet been invented that covers every corner. There's always a blind spot, just like with people."

With a touch of a button, the Danger Shop shifted into a maze of corridors and hallways. "But that's just what you keep in the back of your head. Nothing's going to teach you more than the reality of it. Which means that today, we're going to be playing Hide and Seek." A pause. "In a fashion. This," she tapped a red square on the wall, "is your free point. You hit this, you win. However, if the seeker finds, tags and bags you? You're out. Pairs of two, please. Trade places when one of you wins, then tell me what you learned at the end of the class.

"Now, what are you waiting for? That'll be all."

Turtle was listening carefully, jotting down detailed notes. She figured, with this topic, they would be helpful not only to herself, but Jeff might appreciate them, too.

Lee scrawled a few notes down but mostly just listened.

Bob has never been good at the whole paying attention thing, so he just stared at the teacher. Whenever she wasn't looking, of course. She was creepier than Deadpool wearing a leopard thong. That creepy.

Helen listened carefully, nodding quite a bit. Oh yes, hiding and stealth was definitely important.

Jack took notes. Not that he'd ever need it, because it was so much better to just hide in plain sight and have a running story.

Liir was actually, curiously, not too worried about this exercise. Avoiding things (people, monkeys, detection, trouble, getting IN trouble) had been one of his most well-practiced skills.

That said, he took notes and considered the defenses mentioned carefully.

Ping in and form pairs. One of you has a maze of ~~moddable~~ corridors to hide in. The other stands at the free point and counts down from fifty. If the hiding party gets tagged, they've lost. If the hiding party gets to the free point, they win.

Lee was pretty damn good at this time, if he said so himself. Zak would say so since he always won when they played as kids.

Ohh, hiding, that means not getting shot, maimed or bullied. Just my thing He thought.

Bob wasn't so good at hiding. Actually he wasn't good, at all.

But it's the thought what counts.

Considering that she wasn't actually in danger of being killed or maimed, Gwen was quite looking forward to the exercise as she looked for a partner.

Jack was there, looking for a partner. He might not totally get the point of the class today, what with how he's standing out wearing that tank top.

Liir waited. This would be fun, as far as he was concerned.

Kerrigan eyed the class after she blew the whistle on the exercise. "Anybody?"

When she pings in!

River was here, smiling oddly.

Who is antsying about after class.

Where I have coffee and a wet dog. Sadly, it's not rum.
