Library [Saturday]

Mac wasn't really shocked by a whole lot these days. She was surprised to find several weetiny pirates trying to steal the books when she came in to open the library for her shift, though.

Every time she nabbed the books off them, they cursed and waved their cutlasses menacingly. Somehow, she didn't feel like she was in much danger... except maybe her ankles. They really were determined.

Looked like she would have her work cut out for her today.

Sometime in the latter part of the morning, a sleepy looking Ron wandered into the library holding a bag from J'GOB.

"Morning," he said with a yawn. "Thought you'd like a muffin. Blueberry okay?"

Mac looked up when she heard Ron. "Morning."

"Blueberry, sounds awesome," she said smiling at him as she herded the disgruntled pirates out the way with her foot. "Thank you."

Ron gave the wee pirates a roll of his eyes. "What is it with this island and everything being wee and tiny? Sure it's amusing but it seems everything has to be small."

"These," she said nodding at the pirates and their cutlasses. "--were much bigger, they might actually hurt," Mac pointed out.

One of the pirates came after Ron feeling like he had insulted his crew.

Ron pushed him aside with his foot and shrugged. "Well you but they're still mighty puny..."

Mac wandered over to the front desk, leaving the pirates. "Yeah, well, also mighty annoying. I'm surprised we have any books left."

"Well if they don't want to get stepped on," Ron said in a warning tone to any listening pirates, "they'll leave the books well enough alone."

He then handed over the muffin and looked around the place. "You know, I think this is the first time I stepped foot in the library."

"And you broke your clean record just to bring me food?" Mac said with a grin. "I feel kind of honoured."

"Well I think I deserve extra credit just for coming into a school building on a Saturday too," Ron said with a little smirk.

Mac grinned. "I do it every week," she reminded him. "But they give me TA lounge keys for it so..." She shrugged, "Worth it."

"Well you do it every week," Ron teased. "Like any sane person I usually stay in bed until I absolutely have to leave. Is the TA lounge that spectacular?"

"Never said I was sane," Mac replied with a little shrug.

Ron snickered at that. "Well... you kind of going out with me. Barney and Tink would definitely think you're nuts."

"Yeah, well..." Mac huffed a little laugh. "I'd be willing to bet that my sanity owns theirs combined."

"They're a bit detached from reality, aren't they?" Ron said with a snicker.

"This whole island is," Mac admitted as she hopped up to sit on the edge of one of the tables.

"But, yeah, them moreso than most people around."

"Glad to be a member of the less than moreso," Ron joked as he stepped up to the table.

And pushed away another pirate with a foot.

"So what do you during a long shift at the library? For entertainment I mean."

"Herd pirates?" Mac replied with a grin. "I was thinking of stacking books to make a little enclosure for them..."

"Need help?" Ron said with a chuckle. "I mean anything to help with the cause, right?"
