Roving the Galaxy [period 04 - week 02]

"Good afternoon. The Doctor isn't able to be here today." There was a definite note of disapproval in her voice. "So I've stepped in to take your class. It appears as if you were going to be speaking with friendly aliens this week, and we'll continue with that. He didn't specify which aliens, so I've chosen ones that you will hopefully enjoy."

Harriet leaned against a convenient table. "The question of whether an alien is a friendly one or not can be difficult. Often those who seem to have the best interests of the planet at heart turn out, in fact, to value nothing but their own arrogance." She shook her head. "You don't have to worry about the ones you're going to meet today, though your conversations will be on their terms."

She waved them through a door and into a lush green forest. "Off you go, enjoy yourselves. I'll be here if you need me."

His yeek was sad and he went to pat her hand comfortingly.

She smiled at him. "Do you have family here?"

His yeek was much happier as he gestured around them again, in lots of different spots.

"A large family then," she said with a smile. "And you seem happy. This is a good place to live?"

"Yeek," he said quite happily, before giving her hand another comforting pat.

"I am glad for you," she said with another smile. "Thank you for coming to visit with us today. It was most kind of you."

His yeek sounded flattered, and he pointed to her in return.

She touched her hands to her heart, ducking her head. "Thank you."
