Underwater Basketweaving as a Metaphor for Organising Your Life -- Tuesday, Period 2
Class had been handwavily informed that they were meeting not in the classroom, but by the pool. "Welcome," Lulu said. "We're not getting into the pool today, but Professor Mizrahi and I thought it best that we meet here on a regular basis, to keep the environment consistent." She smiled. "To those who don't know me, I am Professor Lulu. Today will be fairly simple," she continued, as she gestured for the students to sit on the floor; she folded herself down as Juli did the same.
Juli picked up the lecture, all but resigned to actually having to teach this class now. "As we’ll be meeting at the pool in the following weeks, you are all advised that appropriate swimwear is rather… necessary.” Though, really, if they hadn’t figured that out from the name of the class…. “Continuing the trend of the first week, we’ll be introducing ourselves today. As Professor Lulu mentioned, I am Professor Mizrahi. I’m aware that for some of you this is terribly repetitive, but neither of us recognize some of you, and it’s likely that there are some of you who don't know each other as well. It's very simple: state your name, your class, what experience you have in either swimming or basket weaving, if any, and one interesting thing about yourself."
"We'll be using your experience levels to help gauge the future classes, so please do be accurate," Lulu said. "Exaggeration and inopportune modesty help no one."

This one, at least, amused her. "And how long did it take you to come up with that?"
