Library [07/07]

Workshops were on again, and that meant Sam was back in the library. He was a little later than usual, since he had a workshop first period, but he actually kind of preferred it that way. It meant he got to spend the rest of the day basking in the books without interruption.

Peter came on in with donuts and coffee - warm coffee this time. "Hey."

"Hey," Sam said. He marked the page he was on in his book, and set it down. "Aww, no iced coffee today? We could have gone out and kept it cool on the glaciers."

"I figured you might want a reason to keep warm what with all the snow," Peter said. "But if you want me to go stick it on a glacier for a while..."

"No, it's fine, really. Thank you," Sam said, making a grab for one of the cups.

"If you're sure," Peter teased, moving to hold the cups out of reach. Not that he'd be very successful at this given how tall Sam was.

Peter let himself get caught. Not that he was going to stop with the teasing. "Hey, careful! Hot coffee! Last thing I need is spills and third degree burns."

After finding out that he really didn't have any classes today, Ichigo took to exploring the school itself. At least now he knew what he would be doing for the next few weeks - even if it was beyond him how he managed to get into a workshop about blowing things up and one about living alone. Okay, so maybe the latter he could get considering that his father was borderline insane.

Either way, he was exploring which at one point of the journey led him to the library. Always a good place to know where it was and he wandered through the shelves, occasionally picking up books when they were about a topic that either interested him or didn't seem to make any sense at all.

Sam was always excited to see people in the library, so he smiled as he peered around and saw someone new. "Hi. Can I help you find anything?" he asked.

"Since when are you afraid of getting burned?" Sam asked, smirking. "It'll give you a chance to test your healing skills."

"Oh, sure, now you remember them," Peter said. "I notice this only happens when it's conveinent for you."

"I was just looking," Ichigo placed the book on teal deer back on the shelve. "Did you know you have a book on spaceships?"

"I remember them all the time. I just don't want you to have to use them if you don't have to," Sam replied.

"You worry too much," Peter told him, but he didn't look like he minded.

"I'm not surprised. We probably have multiple books on spaceships," Sam said. "There are books on all kinds of subjects here."

"I worry just enough. Best friend responsibility," Sam explained.

Which made him wonder if he'd find anything on shinigami here, but he supposed if there were books on them they were either in Soul Society or in Urahara's hands. "Does it have a 'Fandom for dummies guide? I think I could use that."

"Like company on road trips?" Peter asked. "By the way, you up for doing that this weekend? Sorry I forgot about Nathan needing to stay for new students."

"No way," Peter said, having no idea that anyone would consider less of Angela a good thing. "Miss out on me and Nathan and a guest? She'd never let it happen."
