Detention [Saturday]

All of the students who'd earned or been given detention had been told to meet Fraser outside of the Danger Shop. And that's precisely where he was.

"Good morning," he said pleasantly. "I trust you all slept well and I thank you for being on time. Please enter the Danger Shop."

It is now seven-oh-six. You have exactly eight hours and fifty-four minutes four hours and fifty four minutes to think about why you're here. To ponder the error of your ways and you may not talk. You will not move from these seats and you will not sleep.

"Before you begin your detention," Fraser said, looking down at them, "I would like to hope that we never meet again in this circumstance. I once met an Inuit elder who said that, those who get into trouble once learn from their mistakes. Those who get into trouble twice obviously have hard heads and deserve whatever trouble comes at them next."

He smiled and then gathered up each person's snacks before shooing them into the Danger Shop library.

[OCD is coming! done!]

"Yeah, you go ahead and use reason to figure out something in Fandom," John snickered. "Tell me how that goes for you."

Cal rolled his eyes, but he grinned slightly, head still shaking. "Point taken," he conceded, while he tried to figure out if he was glad he didn't get the detention with the leather, or terribly disappointed.

One glance at their current setting and he knew it was most likely the latter.

"We could always make this detention more interesting," John pointed out, just to see where Cal stood on the issue.

Cal eyed John, clear intrigue, but an obvious though small amount of suspicion, in his look.

"You had anything in mind?"

John shrugged, leaning back in his chair. "Anything's better than just sitting around here waiting. 'Cause I'm certainly not writing an essay."

Cal shrugged back; he wasn't so sure about that essay part. He already had the hatchlings of a pretty epic story going through his head about just who exactly he was. A complete and utter piece of fiction, of course, but perhaps the work that helps him breakout in that whole...writing thing he was trying.

"...There are books," he offered, although doubtful that John would be very won over by the prospect of how to pass the time. John didn't exactly seem like a book kind of guy. "I mean, this is in the Danger Shop, so this is all just a simulated library, isn't it? How detailed do you think they made it? Just the library, or a whole school?"

"Never know till we look," John said, eyes shining in excitement at the prospect. "Besides, I'm all read out for a while. A brisk walk might be nice. We could get the others to come along, maybe?"

Grinning briefly at John's eagerness for this idea, Cal looked the other boy straight on as he muttered, "Yeah. What's the worst that can happen?"

And, yes, that was sarcasm, muttered in the most enriched sardonic deadpan he could muster, which was pretty damn good.

"We could be really entertained (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1809638.html?thread=112303078#t112303078)," John told him.
