How to Be the Best at What You Do - Thursday, Period 2

When everyone gathered in the Danger Shop, Logan got right to it. "Okay, bubs. You know what you're best at, you know what you gotta do. Use your thing to take me down. If there's no buttock to ground contact, it doesn't count. Let's see what you've got and don't hold back. I can take anything you give me."

Logan paused. "Also, none of you have made me want to stab anyone. That's better than most of the classes I've taught. Congrats."

[OOC: Up early for interaction since I won't be around tomorrow until evening as per usual. And seriously, go all out on him. He has a handy healing factor that'll keep him alive. That should be clear with at least one person's attempt.]

Blair held up her hand to indicate that Logan needed to wait a moment. Her phone buzzed with an incoming message, and she smiled.

"Admit defeat," Blair told him, holding up her phone, "or with a push of a button I'll have every blog that counts talking all about how you got caught with a dead girl or a live boy. Possibly both."

"I'm a mutant. One with a bit of a shady past to begin with. Worse than that's been written about me," Logan said.

"Oh." More texting. "There we go. Head of the Clay Aiken fan club."

"I'm from the same country as Celine Dion," Logan said. "Try again."

Blair looked thoughtful. "So you would say that you have a superior inability to be humiliated to go along with your healing and - " she made a vague gesture " - other enhancements?"

"You've been around as long as I have, you're gonna find yourself in way more humiliating situations than anything you'd be able to make up," Logan said. "So, yeah, I think that's fair."

Blair was one-handedly using her phone as they talked.

Not dirty.

"As a teacher I'd think you'd want to avoid the jailbait trap. Though I applaud how you are secure enough in your masculinity to not worry about needing to hide your music tastes. I was just wondering if, in addition to the abilities you're using to your advantage with my classmates, you have enhanced senses as well"

and this would be when Blair's MP3 download was done and began to play a high-pitched noise that might not bother her classmates but would be loud and painful for dogs, cats, ~~vampires, oh irony~~ or anyone else with strong hearing.

"GAH!" Logan yelled, covering his ears. It wasn't really stopping anything.

If it were just a little lower pitched, he felt he could have dealt with it. But it wasn't. He sat down to get her to stop the noise. At least, he'd claim that he sat down. Because that meant he was going easy on the kids. Yeah.

Blair grinned and stopped the MP3. "So we're done?"

"Yeah, good job," Logan said, wondering how long it would be until his ears stopped ringing. "For the record, the jailbait thing? This is my last class here anyway, so that wouldn't affect my job. But you didn't know that."

"That's a shame," Blair said. "I truly enjoyed your class."

She had, much to her own surprise.

"I'll still be over at Atlas. If you want a psychotic workout regimen, you know where to find me," Logan said.

"Good to know," Blair said. "Thank you."
