Karaoke For Fun and Profit #7 [Tuesday, Period 5, 6/24]

The Danger Shop was reset back to the original Club Mystique simulation from week one, but this time, there was additional seating for the guests invited to be a part of the live audience. "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!" said Mike, taking his place on stage. "Today we have a very special performance by our workshop students. These kids have spent the last seven weeks working on their performance skills and today they're ready to show you just how far they've come. No one could be prouder than I am. Let's have a round of applause for the students."

Cue the applause track, just in case the live audience wasn't lively enough.

"So, let's hear from our performers!" And with that, Mike got off stage and went to take his seat.

[OOC: Students, teachers and townies who know Mike or any of the students are welcome to join the audience! OCD coming is up!]

Mary came out to support her buddy Mike, but she would be cheering for everyone.

Considering the number she was doing, Savannah had dressed in black jeans, a tight black t-shirt and a black pair of boots. Her hair was flying free and she was wearing a little bit of eyeliner.

Savannah had planned on doing something different today, but then she found a song (http://youtube.com/watch?v=WII98mGqkqc) that seemed to be too perfect for her not to sing.

She moved around the stage a bit, dancing and moving with the music as she sang.

Feeling much better today, Amber checked out the clothes she'd chosen to wear today. The short-cropped shirt that showed a good portion of her midriff, and the low-hipped pants that billowed and flowed freely down to a cinched ankle. The outfit was perfect for her song choice and she had been practicing dance moves to go with it.

The song was older, compared to the timeframe they were in now, but it was from her life period and she rather liked it. Besides, she thought it more or let fit her.

Getting up on stage, Amber was grinning, feeling nervous butterflies in the pit of her belly. But she was used to performing and this being her final class, she was going to give it her all.

When the music started (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG_m6h-XvMo&feature=related), she got into the groove and sang her heart out, dancing and moving her body just like the original song's singer did. Amber had studied the video enough; she got the choreography down almost perfectly.

Johnny was in the audience, arms folded across his chest, his eyes on Savannah.

As she waited to perform, Savannah caught herself looking at Johnny more than once.

His eyes didn't waver. He was thinking about radio and all the people she talked to about their argument.

It was probably a good thing that Savannah wasn't a telepath, because her emotions were already messed up as it was. She played with the black leather bands she had on her wrists and kept glancing at him from time to time.

He glanced at those bands too and it was life a knife to his chest. Was the action unconsciously done on her part, or was she reminding him of what an asshole he was?

That thought hadn't even occurred to her. She had covered the bandages with the leather because she knew she had invited him to this and she hadn't wanted him to feel bad -- she had hurt him enough -- that and she was tired about trying to field questions about what happened to her wrists.

They looked good with her outfit, though. She just hoped people liked her song and her performance.

When she caught his eye, she gave him a hesitant smile before going back to making sure she was looking okay for the performance.

The smile meant more than she could have imgained. Johnny's lips curved, just enough to allow her to see the returned emotion.

Savannah looked hot and he wasn't about to direct his attention elsewhere.

Probably as much as seeing him smile in return meant to her. She couldn't do anything else because it was now her turn to perform (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1806178.html?thread=111999074#t111999074).
