Barney liked just talking when he felt like it rather than waiting for students to shut up and pay attention to him. This was probably because he always assumed they were paying attention to him. "How far man has come from cave dwellers who picked a prime steak by clubbing her on the head and dragging her home to leaving a voicemail requesting a hook up. It's all about language and communication. And sex, of course."

It was much nicer all the way around, Tink thought. Especially if you had very cute hair and didn't want it messed up by all that icky head-dragging. Didn't Tink have very nice hair? She personally thought her bun was very chic today. It was always stylish, but it had an extra zing right now. Had he noticed?

"Your hair is telling people how incredibly hot you are and that it would be their pleasure to buy you a drink and take you home for some horizontal R&R," Barney told her.

Oh, oh he was ever so charming! This happy wriggle of hers said that he was ever so charming. Did they see that, children? Communication! She didn't need a boring stupid voice to be eloquent and magnificent! He didn't need jingly bell noises in order to flirt! Flirting was universal!

"Excellent point, Ms. Bell. Which is why we're having you students attempt to make a date with someone here in class without speaking in any formalized language." Barney was rather proud of this idea.

Body language, students! Body language was essential when you were dealing with interdimensional beings! No one had time to memorize four thousand different languages, and if you met someone hot at a bar, you would need to know how to communicate. How to convey very basic ideas such as "so, you wanna get naked?" and "you're not a hooker, are you?" and "you don't have Space Herpes, right?"

"All necessary and valid questions. So pair off, hook up, but remember, no 'language!'" Barney loved him some air quotes.

Except the language of loooooove. Or drunken regrettable hook-ups. Close enough! Now go!

She glanced back at him over her shoulder, smiling slightly at him.

Dean let his smile widen and threw in a come hither gaze.

Okay, no fair using that look. Dawn was totally calling a flirting foul later.

But for now, she hithered, eyebrows raised in question as she approached.

Dean waggled his eyebrows and reached out to brush Dawn's hair back over her shoulder.

She broke into a grin and tried not to laugh, ducking her head in an almost shy motion.

Dean chuckled softly and ducked his head to catch her gaze with a teasing smile.

She met his eyes and took a small step forward.

Dean moved to rest a hand on Dawn's hip, his eyes going to her lips.

Which she licked, keeping her eyes on his.

Dean grinned a little and raised his eyebrows questioningly.

She raised hers right back.

He leaned in a little, moving slowly.

Dawn blinked at him in surprise.

Dean paused, raising a questioning eyebrow again.

She shook her head slightly.

Dean sighed and pouted.

Dawn shot a quick glance over at Sam, then shrugged.

Dean leaned in again, but at the last second shifted so he was dropping a kiss on the tip of Dawn's nose instead of her mouth.

Laughing, Dawn reached out to poke him in the ribs.
