Galactic Vacationing - Wednesday, Period 4

"Right! So. Wasn't here last week, was I? I'm sure the TA," he gave Seely a look that had a barely restrained eyeroll accompanying it, "kept you all busy in my absence. Got off to a slow start, which is sometimes a good thing when you're bouncing around the known universe." Why yes, he was being a big hypocrite. He seemed to know it to some degree too, because he was getting uncomfortable. "And, well, let's not even get started on the unknown universe. Anyway! Moving on. Let's go somewhere different."

The Doctor pointed his sonic screwdriver at the Danger Shop controls and, although it could be said that the Danger Shop was somewhat disgruntled by being messed with by a sonic device (which wasn't in any way important for next week's workshop), it complied and their surroundings changed.

"Welcome to the year 200,100. We're not too far from home, a little step out and away from the planet Earth, which is just down there. You can probably find an observation deck if you look hard enough. This is Satellite 5, the largest communications station in the solar system, if I remember rightly. I usually do. Take a look around. Get something to eat. Mingle." He scratched behind his ear and tried not to look too pleased at throwing them into the thick of it, "I'd watch out for some of those rooms though. You might find yourself facing a fate worse than death. Well, not death." He paused and looked upward in thought. "No, on second thought, worse than death. Definitely."

Ella took a moment to change from her blouse and skirt into black pants and a t-shirt. If she needed to run again, she wasn't doing it in a skirt.

Toby totally had to change. There was no way he was wandering Madagascar in full pants and a shirt. It was kind of a nice room, now that he thought of it. Just out of the way enough...

Kevin saw Toby enter the room to change, so he followed him in, grinning.

Toby turned and smiled naughtily at Kevin. "Hey, babe. You changing, too?" It was an innocent question.

As an answer, Kevin took off his shirt and reached down to undo the top button on his jeans.

Toby stepped forward and sank to his knees to help with that problem.

Seely coughed. Loudly.

"These are change rooms, not dorm rooms."

Kevin jumped back. "Oh, hey Toby, thanks for helping me out there. That, ah, that zipper gets stuck all the time."

Toby ran the back of his hand over his mouth as he stood up. "My pleasure."

Then he looked rather appraisingly at Seely.

Seely did his best to ignore the look. "Just make sure nothing else does."

Being that his fly was already undone, Kevin went ahead and stepped out of his pants. He only owned two pairs of boxers, and wasn't wearing either today.

"No worries, dude," he said, smirking at Seely. "You gonna change too?"

Seely had been intending on wearing his own clothes, but when in Rome. "Yeah, fine," he said, reaching to pull his shirt off.

Liir grabbed his coat, glad to have it. It helped cover the broom a little.

Rodney went ahead and changed out of his shorts and into the black cargo pants he'd picked before. He also grabbed the leather jacket as he had no idea what kind of climate they'd end up in today.

Jenny put on her jacket. She was really liking this jacket. She wondered if she could get a tailor to do a mock-up...

Marco saw nothing wrong with what he was already wearing, though he did finally decide to go for something a little less beachy.

Cal had actually kind of gotten comfortable to practically wearing something similar to his traveling outfit daily, since he first emerged out of a thrift shop with newly masculine clothes to match his masculine self. He just had to add a tie today, and he was all set.

Might as well get changed. Who knew where they'd be going, right?

Alec was rarely in anything he wouldn't be comfortable wearing while traveling, but he grabbed a sleek looking jacket just in case.

Inara had no idea what they'd be facing, so she changed into a pair of loose cotton slacks and top, grabbing a sweater as an afterthought and tying it around her waist.
