Galactic Vacationing [Wednesday, Period Five]

This afternoon the class would have noticed that the Doctor was nowhere in sight. The more observant would also have noticed that the Danger Shop was set up in an unholy combination of space-age tiki bar and seraglio with Seely leaning against the bar chatting to one of the many scantily-clad, brightly-coloured patrons.

He straightened when he saw the class. "I'm afraid that the Doctor can't be here today," he said. "And I couldn't make sense of his lesson plan, so instead of going to a Welsh gravel quarry, we're going to be doing something a little more exotic."

He grinned broadly as he gestured around the room. "As anyone whose ever watched Galaxy Quest or Space Battles knows, the universe is full of places like this, and people like these, so you're going to practice dealing with the natives. They're very friendly, so it shouldn't be hard."

Worf looked at a few of the space women and huffed.

This was not appropriate for a classroom setting.

A green-coloured girl smiled at Worf. "Come here often?"

"No," he said. "I don't."

He gave her the once-over. "What species are you?"

The girl replied with a name that had far too many clicks and glottal stops. "And yourself? I don't think I've seen such a refined brow before."

Worf did not puff up a little at the compliment. Or self consciously touch his ridges.

"I am Klingon," he said gruffly. "What kind of planet is this supposed to be?"

"A fun, friendly one," the girl replied. "We like our guests to feel comfortable."

"I see," Worf replied looking around. "And what activities do you supply for your... guests."

"It is not that I do not find you attractive," Worf said gruffly. "I find that most humanoids tend to be too... fragile for my liking."
