Karaoke For Fun And Profit #5 [Tuesday, Period 5, 6/10]
The night club simulation was gone, and in its place was a theater stage. "I thought a change of scenery was called for since we're covering show tunes today," said Mike. "These are basically songs that were part of a musical, and in some cases, have become popular songs in their own right, outside the context of the original musical. The show tune used to be very popular through the late 1940s, so this is a genre that works better with an older karaoke crowd. However, musicals seem to be making a comeback these days, so a good show tune is definitely something to have on your karaoke playlist."
"One of the best known show tunes is a little song from a Broadway musical called South Pacific Tropical Ocean. I thought it was especially appropriate this week," he added with a grin before going ahead and singing his own version.
[A very special thank you to

"Thank you for seein' me back," she replied quietly. "Would have been a challenge goin' back alone that's for sure."

"You remember the crazy bit, huh?" Dang, he was kinda hoping she'd forgotten that tidbit. "That was, uh, me just foolin' around. You know, crazy like silly crazy. Or somethin'." Sometimes he could own up to it, no problem. Others...well, it tended to drive people off.
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
"Yah, you betcha, one memory among few," she admitted with a rueful grin. "Silly crazy is totally cool and I appreciate anyone with the same personality." Amber just tended to drive people off sometimes with her crazy self. Oh well.
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
like 15. at leastain't that much 't all.""Really?" he asked innocently. Oh lord, what else did she remember? Dangitall, he couldn't remember half of it. "Same personality, eh?" he chuckled at that. "Somethin' tells me I might be a tad bit crazier than you." Like scores of doctors.
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
Giggling she commented, "Oh, I don't know about that but you can always try to make me believe it."
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
"Give it a few days, and I'm sure you'll hear all about me doin' some crazy bit on the radio. Those squirrels are deranged."
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
Amber shook her head. "I knew there was a reason I ought to listen to the radio more often."
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
"It's...interestin'. I mean, on one hand, you can keep up with what's goin' on, but on the other," he shrugged a bit, "everyone knows what everybody else is doin'. Spyin' squirrels. Sometimes I think they get a bit too personal. Like that night they dragged me in there. I swear, I didn't want to know some of that stuff. Really."
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
She nodded, gravely, though her eyes swam with amusement. "Little stinkers aren't they? I try to behave myself but you know what? Doesn't matter cause everythin' can totally get twisted around to mean somethin' else."
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
"Tell me 'bout it," he rolled his eyes a little. He still wasn't completely over that bit it said about his intentions towards Millie. Danged squirrels. Or was that the radio host? "A buddy of mine does radio," he suddenly piped up. "In fact, he's on Tuesdays. You know Reno?"
Re: Enjoy the show! [6/10]
"Oh yah, you betcha I know Reno. Not really well mind, but I like him just fine. You two are buddies you say?"
