How to Be the Best at What You Do - Thursday, Period 2

This week, the students in the How to Be the Best at What You Do workshop would not find a short, grumpy, hairy Canadian greeting them. Instead, they found a Hispanic girl in an SPD uniform, who was actually somewhat grumpy because you try wearing a wool uniform in June. Honestly. Still, she had a smile on her face as she said,

"Hey, guys. Professor--sorry. Logan couldn't make it today, so as the TA I'm in charge. Don't cause any trouble." She may have glared at Jamie. "So, today we're going to watch this movie Logan left for us. I'm told there's a song you should pay particular attention to."

Temari just shot her a look of 'Are you kidding me?' and wrote back.

Have fun with that.

Turtle arched an eyebrow at the the look.

"You do understand, right, that we have to tread carefully regarding the issue with you. We're not sure how high your girlfriend-dedication bar is raised."

Yes, Turtle did spend about a minute or so frowning at her note before sending it back; it definitely seemed something that indicated that her girlfriend bar was possibly too far up, but not quite enough that her phrasing couldn't quite reach that extra bit that Jeff always took it.

Girlfriend-dedication bar? As long as there's no permanent damage and he deserves it-- And he probably did. --what business is it of mine? madrox is a big boy, he can take care of himself.

Turtle considered this.

"Define 'permanent damage.'" she wrote back. "I feel that the situation calls for a lesson learned that will hopefully have some staying power. He deserves some mental scarring. But we'll see what we can do about preserving his fragile physical state."

Which, ugh, she didn't want to think about anyone being concerned with, but whatever. To each their own.

I suggest dying him pink.

That didn't do too much other than hurt his pride.

Turtle blinked at the paper a bit; her more suspicious tendencies, which were actually significantly higher than they used to be, had her wondering if Temari was baiting her, or if it was just a general consensus the world over that this needed to happen, and she and Rikku were simply the chosen vessels in which to do it.

"That just so happens to already be on the agenda. Hopefully in an embarrassing confrontation that will be video taped, copied, and sold.

That's mostly all we've got so far, though we are still plotting. Our revenge will be no small matter.
"

How much will the tapes be?. What? It might do her some good when he got annoying.

Turtle couldn't help grin at that.

"Price will be subject to quality, but I'm pretty sure the quality's going to be pretty darn good. Affordable, of course, though enough to turn a profit."

Interesting.

Keep me updated.

A moment later another note was tossed.

He's out of town this weekend.

The first note got a subtle, careful thumbs-up Temari's way. The second got a bit of a blinking response.

Very important information. Very good information.

She straightened slightly, giving Temari a grave and serious, appreciative nod. She'll definitely have to have a word or two with Rikku, and perhaps make the first move, the first shifting of a pawn to start the game of revenge.
