In deference to the island's new location, Bond was sipping on a colourful drink with an umbrella sticking out the top as the class arrived.

Instead of the usual spread of food, there were instead several closed coolers, along with a large variety of fruits, vegetables and meats, as well as numerous blocks of pastry.

"Good morning class," Bond started, putting down his drink. "Today we'll be doing something a little different, in that today's subject is pie, and I've found that the best way to get a true appreciation for pie, is in fact to make your own, which is what we'll be doing this class. I would like you to choose whatever fillings you would like, and to bake as many pies as you would like, which we'll get together at the end of the class and try.

"Now, while you're working on your pies, I'll tell you a bit more about pies..." With that, he began a lecture about the different kinds of pies and fillings you could find, and where you could find them.

The fillings lean towards the tropical, but there is still a wide range of non -tropical fillings available, both sweet and savoury.

Ella began trying to make a coconut cream pie. It was fidgety work, but she thought she had the hang of it.

For the first time in a long time, Ned was completely interested in something. There were pie ingredients and fillings and everything he needed to bake a pie.

Ned chose to make a lemon meringue pie since it'd been his mother's favorite. He went to work immediately, showing no signs of the unsureness he usually put forth. He could do this with his eyes closed.

Hoshi opted to make a banana cream pie. The whole experience brought back memories of making pies with Bart, so she was unusually quiet.

Cimorene was quite happy to work on pies.

Francine stared happily at the filling choices. "You can make pineapple pie?"

...he wanted Jenny to try to cook.

This could only end in tears. Although thanks to Lulu's class of the semester previous, probably not flames.

By the time the pies where in the ovens, Bond was still in the middle of the lecture.

"But apart from tasting fantastic," Bond replied, flipping open the nearest of the chillers and leaning in to retrieve something. "The pie also has a long and renowned history in the arts. More specifically, the medium of slapstick."

With that he straightened and flung a cream pie at the nearest student with deadly accuracy.

Those coolers? Full of tasty, tasty weaponry.

It should go without saying that you can aim at Bond, especially since he threw the first pie.

Ned, thankfully, wasn't nearest to the professor but he couldn't help the look of horror at the flinging of the pies.

"But but but but..." he stammered.

"Yes?" Bond replied blandly, weighing another pie in hand.

"They're pies," Ned said, flailing a little. "They're not supposed to be thrown!"

"These are," Bond assured Ned. "Definitely not eating quality."

Ella tried to avoid the flying pies, but eventually got splattered anyhow.

Pies that somebody else threw at you didn't have calories, right?

Jenny hefted a pie and eyed the teacher thoughtfully.

By now the students hopefully hopefully had not only gotten covered in whipped cream and bits of pie-crust, but also were now about to try a range of freshly baked pies.

Mmm...pies.

Bond looked far too pleased with himself, which meant he was probably n a good mood to answer questions.

Who is possibly in less of a good mood once she's pinged in.

Aravis was there! At a reasonable time and everything.

Less than pleased about having to cook, though.

Mmmmmm pie.

Or should that be mmm beefcake?

Damn you, now I want pie. :D ... Oooh. I have raspberries. I could make a couple of small raspberry pies!

Also, I think that, given your icon, it should totally be mmm beefcake.
