Under the school, Sunday night (post radio)
Very late Sunday night, the ancient machinery in the tunnels under the school grumbled to life.
A screen flashed, flashed again. Text scrolled across it and then the world...blinked.
The island phased.
After a long pause, the screen, with a self-satisfied little hum, went black.
Fandom Island now rested off the coast of Normandy, France, but it wasn’t alone. Just visible in the distance was another island, almost a mirror image of Fandom.
Mont Saint-Michel.
