FANDOM HIGH STUDENT COUNCIL DEBATES
Good evening from the Fandom High auditorium. I'm CJ Cregg and I'll be moderating the Student Council debates.
Our Format tonight will be as follows:
Students and teachers alike will ask questions of the candidates. [Please submit your questions to the moderator via the appropriate thread] Each candidate
will respond to the question in turn, and I will call on each for their response.
After each candidate has gone, any one may request a further rebuttal to address
a point made by an opponent, the granting of which is at my discretion. The press will have full access and are also encouraged to
contribute questions.
In the case of no opponent, the same format will
apply, although the rebuttals will be unnecessary for obvious reasons.
For the position of student council president--
_notanumber,
future_visions,
pure_blooddraco
Vice presidential candiates--
cyloninmyhead,
demonbelthazorand
notcalledlizzie
For Secretary--
_gottahavefaith and
lizzy_turner
For Treasurer--
not_an_ex_demon and
lady_jessica_bg
Student Relations--
rory__gilmore, and
wannabelawyer
Academic Affairs,
valentine_tart
And for Security,
threeweapons and
oatmanspatient
I ask that anyone who wishes to be a write in candidate remain in the audience, and feel free to question their opponent...making clear the potential as a candidate. All responses, please be concise. This is a venue to discuss qualifications, not to sling mud. Let's have a nice clean debate. Let's go gang.
((ooc: respond in the appropriate comment thread in order to keep this organized. thank you))

Re: SECURITY
"I guess the most recent example regarding security was on campus yesterday when a mime was reported on campus. I was able to put together some search parties, distribute washcloths and wetnaps and track down the menace to society."

Re: SECURITY
"I know that several students have been concerned and frustrated regarding the recent weapons ban. While I understand their feelings on the subject, I think they can also see the administration's point of view as well."
"From personal experience that a student should feel free to contact the new Dean of Students if they have a problem that needs to be addressed. I can't say they won't like the answer, but he is there to help."

"But to show you all I've got the moves..."
*Marty does a little bit of the Fandango on stage.*
"I'm sorry, that probably wasn't proper debate form. At least I didn't say bada- *coughs* Excuse me."
