Good evening from the Fandom High auditorium. I'm CJ Cregg and I'll be moderating the Student Council debates.

Our Format tonight will be as follows:
Students and teachers alike will ask questions of the candidates. [Please submit your questions to the moderator via the appropriate thread] Each candidate
will respond to the question in turn, and I will call on each for their response.

After each candidate has gone, any one may request a further rebuttal to address
a point made by an opponent, the granting of which is at my discretion. The press will have full access and are also encouraged to
contribute questions.

In the case of no opponent, the same format will
apply, although the rebuttals will be unnecessary for obvious reasons.

Why would that make it clear that someone doesn't want to be elected if they don't want to waste their breath standing on stage looking pretty and spewing out carefully rehearsed words? It didn't say anywhere that participating in this was required and necessary to prove you wanted to be elected.

*Her expression is hard* Mr. Turner, the rest of us are taking this seriously, even if you aren't. I'm not going to tolerate your attitude. I strongly encourage you to play the game or take your ball and leave. I don't have time for this.

If you wish to answer...same question. As a candidate for this position, how do you view the role of Vice President in our unique environment, what are your goals, and how do you plan to acheive those goals?

[OOC: I really really REALLY don't want to debate myself...which is why I never signed up Cole for the debate...so you have put me in an awkward position that I'm not sure how to deal with.]

I'll take this seriously when the write-in candidates are allowed to voice their opinions officially as well. Makes it more fair than me and Mr. Science over there going at it. So, tell ya what, I'm gonna take a stand for those you aren't letting talk and decline the invitation to debate.

*Her jaw drops and she looks at him over her glasses, stunned and flustered*

*grins and executes a mock half-bow*

Phoebe has seen this and stares after Belthazor in shocked admiration...especially since he knows why she allowed herself to be added to ticket in the first place.

Beka catches Phoebe's eye, smiles, and requests the opportunity to make a similar statement of Professor Cregg.

Are the rumors about yourself and the student known only as Angelus true? ~~Mainly the ones about all the gay sex strange noises coming out of your room late at night.~~

I don't know what that means...you don't have to answer. You can go.

Nice to see you treat these debates as seriously as you think I do, Professor. I thought the questions were supposed to be about serious issues, not attempts to spread gossip or humiliate one of the panel. Yeah, you told me I don't have to answer, but you still asked the question. Nice.
