Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The weather was lovely thanks to the island's new location, and even though it had been less than a week, there was no sign anywhere on the school lawn that part of the land had sunk and collapsed during graduation.

That didn't stop everyone from setting things up away from where the graduates had been seated, of course.

There were tables and chairs and plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and three signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, one listing rooms and roommates for the new students, and one listing the cabin assignments.

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible.]

Toby stared some more when it kept talking, tilting his head in awe of what he prayed was makeup.

Eventually he managed to say, "Dude, are you like one of those sideshow people?"

"No, I'm a Thundercat," said Lion-o, speaking slowly. "I'm from the planet Thundera. Are you a human? I've heard about humans, but I've never seen one."

Toby looked around at all the humans on the lawn. "Yes, I'm human."

He paused. "And you're a talking cat. Maybe I hit my head."

"Or maybe you've never been off-planet before," suggested Lion-o. Judging by everyone he'd seen already, there were an awful lot of humans.

"Um, is it okay if Snarf stays with me in the same room? He's my nursemaid and he'll make a big fuss if he has to sleep elsewhere," he added.

The off-planet thing was kinda mind blowing, so Toby pushed that aside.

"Um, sure?" Toby wasn't one to get in the way of a guy and his 'nursemaid.' "And hey, let me know if you need the room. I'll make myself scarce."

"Okay," said Lion-o, smiling. "And Snarf won't be any trouble, really. He cooks, cleans, and makes beds when he's not yelling at me."

"Sounds like he's real helpful," Toby said, looking on the bright side. "Um, so I guess I'll see both of you in the room?" He wondered what this Snarf guy looked like.
