Fandom Invasions, Final (Thursday period 4)

The Danger Shop was made up to look like John's house, with the various current and future Winchesters all sitting around looking tense.

"So your final exam," John said. "Coming off what we discussed last week especially, you're going to be looking for the enemy within. My family has had repeatedly to deal with demons. The thing about demons? They could be anybody." He smiled a little wolfishly. "Even me.

"Your assignment is to figure out if there is a demon present, who it is, and to keep it from hurting anyone -- including the person it's possessing. Since we haven't actually studied exorcisms, we're going to operate under the assumption that someone who can is waiting outside so all you have to do is get the demon out of the house.

"One more thing -- demons don't necessarily have to be solitary." Another wolfish smile. "Good luck."

Ino... hadn't been in class last week and so her opinion was this final was hopelessly skewed in odds way against her.

Johnny might have done a bit of boggling here.

Yeah, that might be Alex boggling ever so slightly.

Meg wasn't a real big fan of this final. Nope.

Demons. Like the Unionist ministers spoke of.

Perhaps like the deer he'd dealt with.

He had missed class last week due to being a kitten and so had no idea how to identify these things. He didn't exactly want to try and find out his usual way.

Hoshi didn't have a whole lot of experiences with demons ~~yet~~ so she was trying to figure out how to find them.

Michael was grinning. This was going to be fun.

The house contains John, Zoe, Sam, Dean, and baby Grace. And perhaps one or more demons. It's up to you to figure the latter out.

"Uh," Johnny, for all his bravado, was tense. This was something he couldn't just torch. Great.

"So..."

"Yeah?" Dean asked agressively, arms crossed over his chest. He did not look happy at all.

"Hey, Dean," Johnny said, pleasantly enough.

He decided process of elimination should work. "You gotta minute? Maybe we could talk outside?"

Dean's expression got even more stony. "I'm not leaving my family," he said stubbornly.

"Alright," he said, his tone casual. "How about we all convene outdoors? It's a nice day... take in some sunshine, all that?" Johnny was watching Dean carefully.

[on way to hospital, will pick up as soon as I get back!]

Dean shook his head. "Too open. Too easy for a sneak attack. We've got a demon after us, y'know."

Johnny cocked his head. "How do demons attack, exactly?"

Ino glanced around curiously. "Hi?"

"Hi," Sam said, with his usual friendly smile. "How's it going?"

"Good enough, I suppose," she said with a shrug, and a smile, "how about you? Everything going good?"

She mentally scrambled for a way to get him out of the house. This would've been so much easier if she'd gotten Principal Washburn.

"Yeah, everything's really good." Sam looked around at his assembled family members. "As long as we're together, everything's fine."

Because that didn't sound creepy at all. Right.

Ino grinned disarmingly at him. "Well, anyway, I was wondering? If Principal Washburn wanted to come see my garden but, you know, if you all wanted to come that'd be great with me." Her garden wasn't finished, but it made a good plausible excuse.

Sam glanced towards the door with a frown. "I don't know. It might not be safe outside. We're all safer in here, don't you think?"

She shook her head lightly. "It'd be safer outside," Ino said honestly, "because that way it's hard to get trapped in one spot. Right now, if you guys got cornered it'd be a lot harder to get away."

Alex looked around, wondering if any of her spells might work here. She didn't think so.

Meg stood there kind of awkwardly and wondered how she should handle this.

Liir sat in a corner as unobtrusively as possible and watched the assembled people as closely as he could.

Hoshi was carefully studying the Winchesters, studying body language and looking for any unusual behavior.

Michael glanced casually around at the family, dismissing the baby almost immediately. A demon wouldn't want to possess a kid who could barely walk yet, right?
