Introduction to World History to 1600 (Terran)
Wednesday 1:00-3:00 pm

Already at his table, Seimei is reading over the essays turned in, his brush working sporadically as he made notes. The discussion scroll is up.

As the Roman and Germanic Peoples and cultures blended after the fall of the Western Roman Empire, the Franks played an especially significant part in this process of cultural fusion.

The Kingdom of the Franks was the most enduring of all the Germanic states and it became the center of a new Europe.

Discuss the Christian conversion of the Franks and why it is considered to be one of the most significant events in European and Western history.

ā€œI’m almost finished grading essays and will have some form of grading for you by Friday,ā€ Seimei said, not looking up from reading.

"Thank you, sir. I would be glad to meet with you after class."

She takes a seat and joins in the discussion, her distaste for the history of Christianity evident.

"Lisa, hey, knowing anything about the Franks?" Alanna leans over from her desk where she had been doodling something that almost resembled a person.

"West Germanic trible, became part of the late Roman Empire, converted to Christianity under the king Clovis, covered the land now known as France and part of Germany and pretty much established the history of the modern nations in that area. Charlemagne, the Crusades, blah blah blah. You can probably bullshit the rest."

"Wow, thanks. I kept thinking of food for some reason." She quickly scribbles down what Lisa just told her.

"Something makes me think the professor isn't looking for the answer '... and Beans', but I will do all your laundry for a month if you say it."

Alanna shrugged. "I typically stay mun in this class, teacher doesn't notice so I only speak when absolutely necessary. No need to make a fool of myself. But thanks for the offer!"
