Public Speaking, Wednesday, April 2 (kinda late)

"Good morning, everyone," said Richie, as the class settled in. "Today we're going to talk about reporting. As you probably know, the news is serious business, and must be treated as such."

"In the real world, the news does not usually involve squirrels, or tequila. However, occasionally silly things happen, but you, as a reporter, would have to react to them dispassionately."

"Here are some news articles," Richie said, handing out random printouts to everyone. "Try explaining one of them to me without giggling."

(Sorry this is late. Home for spring break + psycho family = whee no FH!)

The news was serious business. And Turtle had a lot of experience reporting on completely insane things (it had to probably be coming up on a year, actually), so she breezed through this assignment without a problem.

"In Australia recently a man named Richard James Howarth has refused to make his court date to answer to drunk driving charges. Mr. Howarth claims that he is God, and is therefore above the laws of man." Robin managed to keep a straight face, but just barely.
