Fencing Club: The Salle: After Classes

Peter didn't need to go down to the salle for Fencing Club so much as stop training for long enough to realise that Fencing Club was starting and that he needed to put out towels, water, and the practice blades.  Someone was possibly a bit too worried about going home after graduation and being found out of shape.

Once everyone had arrived, he lowered his sword again with a smile.  "Good afternoon, everyone.  I don't have anything in particular for anyone today," Peter said.  "But as all of you know, the key to good swordsmanship is working through drills over and over and over until your muscles know them automatically. So today, either do that or pair up to spar with a partner."

Still a little on the reserved side, Jaina took a little space for herself to warm up, since it'd been a few weeks since she'd done this now.

Liir warmed up quickly; it had become almost as common as brushing his hair or changing his clothes in the morning. Something regular.

Liz did some warming up.

Jaina was pretty set on working on her own today with a practice blade, not at all as a means to work out any frustrations really.

Liir didn't know if he was anywhere near being good enough for a partner, and as such started his drills.

He made his way over to the other boy cautiously.

"Hello?"

He smiled faintly. That was a complicated question.

"Well," he said, not going into the process it'd taken since he'd last seen Peter to get there, "and yourself?"

"I could say the same," he replied, which was better than anything he might have said about his own survival. The status of his life, or lack thereof, wasn't anything that sounded very pleasant from him.

"I don't mean to bother, but I had a couple of questions about, well," he waved around the room.
