Ed sits at a safe distance of wednesday. Shifting nervously on his seat, he says "heya...wednesday"

"Good morning, Edward." Wednesday looked up from her writing. "Did you enjoy Martin's Mime Hunt?"

"I uh...i enjoyed it, i guess. Washclothes are awesome weapons. Uhh..." Ed does some more nervous shifting. "Sooo...what 's you writing?"

"It's a declaration of intent." Wednesday scowled at it for a moment. "Martin asked me to run for office in the student elections and I have to write something before the debate tonight. I'm not getting anywhere with it."

Edward frowns. "waw, that sounds really complicated. Running for office eh? That's cool. I wish i could help you with the writing, but eh...eh...Well." (This is where ed doesn't want to admit he's not uber smart 0.o)

"It's an outside activity. My parents encourage that." Wednesday looked up at him again. "Aren't you involved in gardening?"

"Yes yes, i work as a gardener for mister Quayle. It's all kinds of nice. I could make a tree in the shape of...something scary? Just for you?" Edward smiles and would be blushing liekwhoah if he wasn't so extremely pale.

He received a much wider smile for his efforts. "We have a conservatory at the Manor," Wednesday told him, "and gardens. If you'd like to see them, I could show you around...." She paused, as if afraid of appearing a bit too forward. "I was really looking forward to Mr. Quayle's classes, but I haven't seen any yet."

"He hasn't started classes yet, he's collecting students first. And...i'd love to see the conservatory and the gardens, gardens are always interesting to see." Edward smiles.
"So, debate tonight eh? Are you nervous?"

"I'm not allowed to participate in the debate," Wednesday told him, smile fading to a frown. "None of the write-in candidates are."

((Both ed and the mun have a hard time grasping the concept of the election-things. I'm from europe, our highschools are waaay different then the americans 0.o ))

"Oh...right. Okay. But you are gonna watch it then?"

"Yes. I'm not certain if I'm allowed to question the other candidates, but I will want to hear what they have to say." Wednesday scribbled a final line on her Declaration and seemed pleased with what she'd written. "I'm hoping to have some new posters to put up before the debate as well."

"mmm. Okay. Right"

*edward shifts nervously, -again-.

*coughs*

"So, wednesday, eh...i was kinda, you know, kinda wondering if you would be eh...like, say, sort of, going to the homecoming dance, so to speak?"

"I have tickets," Wednesday admitted, "but as I don't have an escort, I wasn't planning on attending."

*coughs some more, thinks the nervousness will kill him about now*

"If you...if you'd like it, you know, i could like, escort you? Just like friends, and we can talk about...gardening and debates and stuff...but only if you want to?"

*realises the food-fighting-students-studyhall-surroundings are not really the most romantic time & place to be asking someone to be your date, but what the hell*

Wednesday eyed him critically for a moment, considering it. "I would be delighted to accompany you, Edward." She smiled suddenly. "My Mother would definitely approve."

"Oh, i'm glad. Good. Eh...Good" Ed smiles, and feels like getting up and doing a kind of victory dance, but doesn't. Instead he smiles at Wednesday again, being very happy.
