Looking up, Wednesday smiled very faintly. "Good morning. The invitation was very welcome. I've been working on my Declaration of Intent but I've found that there really isn't very much to say."

"Indeed?" 6 glanced at her paper. "Would you like to see something I've been working on?" He pulled out his composition notebook.

Wednesday frowned for a moment. "Many of the students here were sent by their parents - adults from all different places and times. Wouldn't that argue for a larger conspiracy than just the school itself?"

Wednesday watched with interest before picking up her own pen and starting again on her Declaration of Intent. "Under your leadership, I'm assuming that my role in student government would be that of double agent and intelligence gathering, then?"

6's voice drops to a conspiratorial hush. "Absolutely. We must discover what these brigands are up to and which of our so-called peers are in league with them. I sense that I can trust you in this undertaking."

"Absolutely." Wednesday nodded solemnly as she tucked her Declaration of Intent into a notebook. "I plan on making myself indespensible so that the main flow of information between the moles in the student body and the Dean of Students will pass through my hands. If I can control the communications then we should easily be able to analyze trends and perhaps discover what is behind the odd student behaviors and all the disappearances."

Her eyes lit for a moment and she smiled. "I suspect human experimentation of some sort, possibly sociological or psychological."
