Class was being held in the danger shop today. The floor was springy, bouncy even, and had a number of large circles drawn on it in white paint.

Along one wall were a number of inflatable sumo suits.

"Today we are going to look at resolving a conflict through physical means. There is a long history of resolving disagreements in this way, such as duelling and trial by combat. Trial by combat did, in some circumstances, permit the use of champions, to fight on behalf of the accused. Interestingly enough, there's a school of thought that believes the modern legal system is just a slightly more civilised version of trial by combat, with barristers as the champions."

Harriet shook her head. "Having known a number of barristers in my time, I'm not so sure I agree with 'more civilised'. Nevertheless, today we are going try out our own version of conflict resolution by physical means." She swept a hand at the suits. "Sumo wrestling. Suit up, find a partner, and pick a ring. The first person to force the other out of the ring is the winner."

Lana managed to get into the suit and inflate it as she looked around for a partner.

Sky was very unhappy as he approached Lana, not sure how to move effectively inside the suit, and knowing he likely looked ridiculous- about as ridiculous as he did in the banana costume, he thought. The fact that his friends weren't there to take pictures, and his boyfriend was not there to laugh at him, was some slight consolation, however.

"Looking for a partner?" he asked Lana, trying to smile.

"Yeah, sure," Lana said. "This is... pretty ridiculous, isn't it?"

"It is," said Sky, nodding agreement. "Of course, I dress up like a banana for my job once a week, so looking silly isn't really new for me."

Lana grinned. "I guess not. So... now we try and shove each other out of the ring? I don't think it takes much thought to figure out who's going to win this match!"

"Yeah, we'll see about that," said Sky, grinning back smugly and striking a pose. Hey, he was in training to be a Power Ranger- posing was a vital part of combat, even if one happened to be inside an inflatable sumo suit.

"Come on, look at the size difference between us," she said with a small. "You - big and strong. me - small and hungover. No real contest."

"Hmm..." Sky glanced around. "That doesn't really sound fair." He was going to ignore the whole drinking alcohol thing, because, hey- it wasn't his place.

"It's okay," Lana said with a smile. "Come on it will be easy and then you can go challenge another winner!"

"Alright," said Sky, taking a few steps forward. "If I can even more around in this thing well enough, that is."

Lana took a few steps forward herself and fell over. "Oh help," she said laughing. "I may never be able to get up!"

Sky went to help Lana up, but overbalanced and fell down right next to her.

"...Should we just call it a draw?" he asked, flailing a little.

She giggled helplessly letting herself flail around a bit just for fun. "Probably."
